TL;DR: The operation of active antenna in receiving and transmitting modes is discussed, based on the use of one-port resonant transistor amplifier with the opened resonant system on microstrip patch antenna.
Abstract: The operation of active antenna in receiving and transmitting modes is discussed. The antenna design is based on the use of one-port resonant transistor amplifier with the opened resonant system. Resonant system is realized on microstrip patch antenna. The antenna operation assumes the implementation of receiving and transmitting modes simultaneously. The switching between receiving and transmitting modes does not need to be implemented.

TL;DR: In this paper, a new system implementation of an active antenna for a forward-looking airborne SAR with digital beamforming on-receive-only is presented, where 56 receiving antennas are used together with one transmit antenna where each antenna illuminates the whole covered swath.
Abstract: This paper presents a new system implementation of an active antenna for a forward looking airborne SAR with digital beamforming on-receive-only. 56 receiving antennas are used together with one transmit antenna where each antenna illuminates the whole covered swath. A simplified hardware configuration is achieved by switching through the receiving array, thus sequentially recording return signals from each receiving antenna. The system was built under contract from the DLR, Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany.

TL;DR: In this paper, a base station array antenna consisting of a medium substrate, a feed network, a grooving floor arranged on the reverse side of the medium substrate and an intersecting structure in feed network is presented.
Abstract: The invention provides a base station array antenna applied to an active antenna system. The base station array antenna comprises a medium substrate, a feed network arranged in front of the medium substrate, a grooving floor arranged on the reverse side of the medium substrate, and an intersecting structure in a feed network. A plurality of cross-shaped ring grooves are etched in the grooving floor. A metal baffle board is arranged below the medium substrate. The grooving floor and the metal baffle board are connected through a copper column. By the utilization of the cross-shaped grooves, two kinds of mutual orthogonal polarization and the dual-polarization characteristic of an array are achieved, and the copper column is used for fixing the medium substrate and the baffle board so that the structure can be stable, and has the function of unit isolation. Sixty four units and one hundred and twenty eight ports are adopted for independent feed, and therefore scanning of beams in the x dimension and the y dimension can be achieved. The base station array antenna can cover two common frequency bands of LTE, the isolation degree between the two kinds of polarization within the work frequency bands is high, and the coupling degree among the units is low. Meanwhile, the array antenna is simple in structure, a main body part is achieved only through one circuit board, manufacturing and processing are convenient, and the cost is low.

TL;DR: In this article, a wireless transmission system for receiving a wireless signal in a wireless electronic device is provided, which includes a first antenna for vertical polarization, a second antenna for horizontal polarization, and a sensor module for sensing pose status of the wireless electronic devices and generating a control signal.
Abstract: A wireless transmission system is provided for receiving a wireless signal in a wireless electronic device. The wireless transmission system includes a first antenna for vertical polarization, a second antenna for horizontal polarization, a sensor module for sensing pose status of the wireless electronic device and generating a control signal, and a controllable switch coupled to the first antenna and the second antenna for selecting one of the first antenna and the second antenna as an active antenna for receiving the wireless signal according to the control signal. With the aid of the two antennas, signal that comes from any direction can be received efficiently. Furthermore, one omni-directional antenna is used for transmitting signal. All the antennas are internal, and have better throughput performance than external antennas.
