TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered the signal-to-noise ratio in active antenna, which is used as an element of GURT radio telescope antenna array, and the sensitivity of the element mainly determines the sensitivity not only of the antenna array but of the whole radio telescope, too.
Abstract: Giant Ukrainian Radio Telescope (GURT) is a low-frequency one with active phased antenna array, which is being built in Ukraine in addition to the existing UTR-2 radio telescope. In this paper we consider the signal-to-noise ratio in active antenna, which is used as an element of GURT radio telescope antenna array. The sensitivity of the element mainly determines the sensitivity of not only the entire antenna array, but of the whole radio telescope, too. The research technique and the results of numerical calculations are given.

TL;DR: In this article, a large-scale MIMO active antenna array is applied to 5G millimeter wave communication, which consists of an antenna array, a multifunctional board, a multi-channel TR module and a wave control power supply module.
Abstract: The invention discloses a large-scale MIMO active antenna array applied to 5G millimeter wave communication. The large-scale MIMO active antenna array comprises an antenna array, a multifunctional board, a multi-channel TR module and a wave control power supply module, wherein the antenna array is correspondingly arranged on the multifunctional board, and the multi-channel TR module and the wave control power supply module are fixed on the multifunctional board and connected with the antenna array; the invention adopts a large-scale array antenna technology to achieve directional signal transmission, utilizes the directional gain of the phased array antenna to offset the space path loss of the signals, and utilizes the characteristic of dynamically adjustable beam pointing of the phased array antenna to achieve the multiplexing of the space dimensionality of the signals to greatly reduce the mutual interference among users, powerfully improve the capacity of the system and achieve low-power and high-efficiency signal transmission.

TL;DR: In this article, an overview of work in the area of optical control of microwave circuits, antennas, and active antenna arrays is presented, where the optical device is used as a microwave component and a standard optical component is combined with standard microwave components.
Abstract: We present an overview of work at the University of Colorado in the area of optical control of microwave circuits, antennas and active antenna arrays. Specifically, we present X-band examples of two types of optically controlled microwave components: those where the optical device is used as a microwave component; and those where a standard optical component is combined with standard microwave components. The former is a slot antenna controlled with a PD in the feedline; and the latter example is that of a photodiode that controls the bias to a microwave SPDT switch. This switch is integrated with a transmit/receive (T/R) active antenna, which is then used as an element of a quasi-optical T/R array.

TL;DR: In this article, an integrated millimeter-wave multi-passage active transmitting antenna device and a phase compensation method is presented, where the antenna device consists of a millimeter wave arrayed antenna and a multi-stage active transmitting module, the compensation method belongs to the active antenna technical field and comprises a micro-strip line, a loading medium and a metal box body.
Abstract: The invention provides an integrated millimeter-wave multi-passage active transmitting antenna device and a phase compensation method of the same, wherein the antenna device comprises a millimeter-wave arrayed antenna and a multi-passage active transmitting module, the compensation method belongs to the active antenna technical field and comprises a micro-strip line, a loading medium and a metal box body. The antenna device adopts an integrated structure, and the active transmitting antenna device is not provided with any active phase-shifting apparatus inside. The phase compensation method between passages is to use the micro-strip line which plays a cascade role at a pre-stage input port of a power amplifier to load a medium with a high dielectric constant. Phase error compensation in arange between zero and three hundred and sixty degrees can be realized by selecting different loading mediums without affecting the uniformity of amplitude. The antenna device and the phase compensation method have the advantages of simple debugging, exquisite design and miniaturization, etc., and is an antenna device and phase compensation method with strong operability and practicality.
