TL;DR: In this paper, a circularly polarized (CP) broadband high-efficiency active integrated antenna is presented, where the broadband CP antenna is integrated directly with a broadband high efficiency class-E power amplifier (PA).
Abstract: This letter presents a circularly polarized (CP) broadband high-efficiency active integrated antenna, where the broadband CP antenna is integrated directly with a broadband high-efficiency class-E power amplifier (PA). To achieve CP operation, a series feed using an L-shaped microstrip feed line below the ground plane is used to provide a 90° phase shift between crossed slots. The antenna serves both functions of a broadband CP radiator and a broadband harmonics-termination load network for the class-E PA. Measures results demonstrate both broadband CP radiation and high efficiency. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. TL;DR: In this paper, an active receiving antenna based on negative impedance convertor has a high receiver sensitivity and ideal antenna height, and a broadband low-noise variable gain amplifier and negative feedback circuit are used to improve the stability of the antenna.
Abstract: An active receiving antenna based on negative impedance convertor has a high receiver sensitivity and ideal antenna heightBecause negative impedance convertor is a real positive feedback, the stability of the antenna is spoiled, the broadband low-noise variable gain amplifier and negative feedback circuit are used to improve the stability of the antennaThe simulation results verify that the designed active antenna based on negtive impedance convertor with a variable gain amplifier has some advantages such as high stability, low noise and high sensitivity, etc, and therefore is an antenna with good performance

TL;DR: In this article, a cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna is proposed as a radiator for an active integrated antenna for satellite communications, which is achieved via a combination of shape factor control over the resonator and insertion of reactive elements in the feed system.
Abstract: A cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna
is proposed as a radiator for an active integrated antenna.
Harmonic tuning, which is the key step in designing active antenna
radiators, is achieved via a combination of shape factor control
over the resonator and insertion of reactive elements in the feed
system. Numerical simulations are carried out in a finite elements
framework and a layout for the complete antenna is proposed,
aimed at compactness for subsequent utilization of the radiator
as an element in an active array for satellite communications.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a method and device for jointly calibrating the channels of a plurality of active antennas, the method comprising: calibrating channels of an active antenna group connected in series and comprising at least two active antennas to obtain the calibration information corresponding to each active antenna, the active antennas group comprising two neighboring active antennas of the at least 2 active antennas; and according to the amendment information correspond to the each active antennas respectively amending the calibrated channel of the each antenna.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of wireless communication. Provided in an embodiment of the present invention are a method and device for jointly calibrating the channels of a plurality of active antennas, the method comprising: calibrating the channels of an active antenna group connected in series and comprising at least two active antennas to obtain the calibration information corresponding to each active antenna, the active antenna group comprising two neighboring active antennas of the at least two active antennas; uniformly amending the calibration information corresponding to the each active antenna to obtain the amendment information corresponding to the each active antenna; and according to the amendment information corresponding to the each active antenna, respectively amending the calibrated channel of the each active antenna. The device comprises a first calibration module, an amendment module and a second calibration module. The present invention reduces the consistency requirement of a plurality of cables, without ensuring the exact same length of the cables connected between the plurality of active antennas and a combiner/divider, and flexibly expands the active antenna requiring calibration.

01 May 2019TL;DR: In this article, a wideband compact active magnetic antenna that used for Loran-C system is presented, which can be divided into magnetic antenna section and active circuit section and a stagger-tuned amplifier is used to achieve the high SNR in the active circuit part.
Abstract: This paper presents a wide-band compact active magnetic antenna that used for Loran-C system. The antenna can be divided into magnetic antenna section and active circuit section. In the antenna part, this paper proposes a method of widening the bandwidth by reducing the loaded quality factor. A stagger-tuned amplifier is used to achieve the high SNR in the active circuit part. Finally, a Loran-C active magnetic antenna has been processed and tested at simulation environment. The bandwidth of the active antenna are 20 percent and the volume is $10\mathrm{cm}^{\ast}5\mathrm{cm}$ , respectively.
