TL;DR: In this article, a method for optimizing cells based on an active antenna system, and a digital unit and a wireless communications system for executing the same, is presented, where the digital unit performs the following procedures: checking the traffic of each cell through signals received from the active antenna systems, vertically splitting a cell having increased traffic into multiple cells through the active antennas, if traffic is increased in the cell among the plurality of cells.
Abstract: Disclosed are a method for optimizing cells based on an active antenna system, and a digital unit and a wireless communications system for executing the same. A plurality of active antenna systems in the wireless communications system is individually located at each of the cells and includes: a passive antenna; an active antenna capable of tilting and beamforming for vertical cell splitting; and a radio unit for processing radio signals. The digital unit performs the following procedures: checking the traffic of each cell through signals received from the active antenna systems; vertically splitting a cell having increased traffic into multiple cells through the active antenna, if traffic is increased in the cell among the plurality of cells; and providing a carrier aggregation service to the vertically split multiple cells through a baseband using the passive antenna and the radio unit, and also through an additional band using the active antenna.

TL;DR: In this paper, an active antenna in which a photonic bandgap filter and an aperture antenna are combined is provided to utilize both the PBG filter and the aperture antenna, thereby effectively removing high harmonic components of wide band as well as maximumly reduce the mutual interference between an antenna and an amplifier with having wider band width and higher gain than a microstrip patch antenna.
Abstract: PURPOSE: An active antenna in which a PBG(photonic bandgap) filter and an aperture antenna are combined is provided to utilize both the PBG filter and the aperture antenna, thereby effectively removing high harmonic components of wide band as well as maximumly reduce the mutual interference between an antenna and an amplifier with having wider band width and higher gain than a microstrip patch antenna. CONSTITUTION: An amplifier/duplexer(12) comprises a microstrip wire(11) on one side. A PBG filter(13) is formed by laminating a dielectric substrate(6) on the amplifier/duplexer(12) and the microstrip wire(11) and comprises cells periodically etched on a ground plate(9) formed on the dielectric substrate. In an aperture antenna(14), signals are radiated through an aperture(7) formed on one side of the ground plate(9) and a microstrip patch(5) formed on the dielectric substrate(6).

TL;DR: In this article, an active antenna module for a T-DMB/DAB (Terrestrial-Digital Multimedia Broadcasting/Digital Audio Broadcasting) receiver is provided to implement function and decoration by including an auxiliary antenna with characters and figures according to a consumer's taste at an end of an antenna.
Abstract: An active antenna module for a T-DMB/DAB(Terrestrial-Digital Multimedia Broadcasting/Digital Audio Broadcasting) receiver is provided to implement function and decoration by including an auxiliary antenna with characters and figures according to a consumer's taste at an end of an antenna. An antenna unit(10) has a conductive contact unit(16) at one end. A matching circuit unit adjusts a frequency and impedance of the antenna unit and removes noise of a low frequency signal received from the antenna unit to input the signal in a matched state. A low noise amplifying unit low-noise-compensation amplifies a high frequency signal from the matching circuit unit to a preset level to compensate for a gain. An automatic gain adjusting unit prevents a DMB/DAB receiver from being saturated due to a strong signal. A power unit supplies power. A casing(30) receives the matching circuit unit, the low noise amplifying unit, the automatic gain adjusting unit, and a PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(20) on which a circuit pattern of the power unit is implemented. A coaxial cable(40) electrically connects the PCB and the DMB/DAB receiver.

TL;DR: In this paper, a GPS timing active antenna fixture consisting of a GPS shell, a fixed metal baseplate, a toothed fastening clip, a U-shaped fastening connecting rod and a metal protecting tube is presented.
Abstract: Disclosed is a GPS timing active antenna fixture which comprises a GPS timing active antenna shell, a fixed metal baseplate, a toothed fastening clip, a U-shaped fastening connecting rod and a metal protecting tube. The bottom of the antenna shell is arranged to be a plane structure, which provides convenience for the installation of a lightning conductor. The novel antenna fixture is adaptive to antenna shells with different structures, and particularly under the action of the U-shaped fastening connecting rod, the toothed fastening clip can effectively prevent the GPS timing antenna from rotating on a branch bar at the base station, thus improving the wind resistance performance and ensuring the reliability and stability of the installation and fixation of the GPS timing active antenna.
