TL;DR: In this article, a transmitter arrangement and a corresponding method for an active antenna array is provided, where a plurality of antenna elements are associated with a number of active components, and the method comprises obtaining a plurality, N, of signals, Xn, destined for a respective input port of the beamformer W. The method further comprises deriving a number, P, where P≥N, of linear combinations of the signals X n, thus obtaining P multiplexed signals.
Abstract: A transmitter arrangement and a corresponding method for an active antenna array are provided, where the active antenna array comprises a plurality of antenna elements being associated with a plurality of active components. The active antenna array is further associated with a beamformer, W, having a number of input and output ports. The method comprises obtaining a plurality, N, of signals, Xn, destined for a respective input port of the beamformer W. The method further comprises deriving a number, P, where P≥N, of linear combinations of the signals Xn, thus obtaining P multiplexed signals. The method further comprises performing CFR on the number, P, of multiplexed signals, thus obtaining P adapted signals. The method further comprises re-establishing, from the number P of adapted signals, the number N of signals, X'n, to be provided to the respective input ports of the beamformer W.

Abstract: The current paper presents some of the most important contribution to antenna arrays for radioastronomy, biology and security applications in Spain from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the Universidad Publica de Navarra. These applications deal with both low frequency arrays for the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) and with Terahertz imaging arrays. Concerning the SKA project, the demonstrator, called FID A3 (FG-IGN Differential Active Antenna Array), is part of the Spanish contribution for the SKA project. It is an active array working from 250 MHz up to 1 GHz. Concerning THz applications, active arrays based on electronic or photonic approaches will be presented. For these two situations the concept of active array is fully exploited for these applications. Finally, the numerical methods used will be presented. The paper is organized as follows, section 2 gives an outline of FIDA3. Section 3 presents two different approaches to THz imaging arrays. Section 4 provides some contributions on finite element methods (FEMs) from UC3M.

TL;DR: In this article, an active antenna system is provided to direct an antenna to a satellite direction by adjusting an antenna direction according to a vehicle location detected by a navigation system, where the satellite tracking control part controls an antenna driving part so that the satellite antenna is directed to the satellite direction.
Abstract: PURPOSE: An active antenna system is provided to direct an antenna to a satellite direction by adjusting an antenna direction according to a vehicle location detected by a navigation system CONSTITUTION: A satellite antenna(10) receives a signal from a satellite, and an antenna driving part(40) changes a direction of the satellite antenna according to an input control signal A satellite tracking control part(60) receives vehicle location data from a navigation system(100) which searches travel direction and distance of a vehicle to display a vehicle location The satellite tracking control part controls an antenna driving part so that the satellite antenna is directed to a satellite direction

TL;DR: In this article, a system and method of detection of resonant tags, which uses a passive wireless antenna (2) resonant lc (coil-condenser), which absorbs and stores the energy received wirelessly from the electromagnetic field generated by a transmitting active antenna (1), is presented.
Abstract: System and method of detection of resonant tags, which uses a passive wireless antenna (2) resonant lc (coil-condenser) resonant to fr, which absorbs and stores the energy received wirelessly from the electromagnetic field generated by a transmitting active antenna (1) resonant lc (coil-condenser) resonant to fr anyone, in any type of energy storage support (batteries, capacitors, and the like); said wireless passive antenna (2) uses the same resonant antenna lc (coil-condenser) to receive the signal from the resonant circuit (31), and to receive the energy from the transmitting active antenna (1) All the resonant elements (1, 2 and 31) are tuned to the same resonance frequency Having its main field of application in the field of electronics and anti-theft devices, where a system and method of detection of resonant labels with these characteristics is required (Machine-translation by Google Translate, not legally binding)
