TL;DR: In this article, an active antenna (100, 200, 300) comprising a driving loop with first (103) and second (105) sections, each of which extends between end points.
Abstract: An active antenna (100, 200, 300) comprising a driving loop with first (103) and second (105) sections, each of which extends between end points. Each end point of each section (103, 105) is connected to the closest end point of the other section by a reflection amplifier (101, 106). One reflection amplifier (106) comprises differential ports for signals to/from the active antenna. The active antenna also comprises a passive loop with first (107) and second (108) sections, each of which extends between end points. Each end point of each section (107, 108) is connected to the closest end point of the other section by a reflection amplifier (102, 104). The driving loop and the passive loop extend in parallel to each other and the first and the second section (103, 105; 107, 108) of each of the loops form separated complementary parts of a closed geometrical shape and are built in open waveguide technology.

TL;DR: In this paper, an active antenna distribution system based on a coaxial cable network is described, and the system comprises access equipment, coaxial cabling network and terminal equipment, wherein high-frequency wireless signals are transmitted to the terminal equipment through the coaxial cables after being subjected to frequency reduction through the access equipment.
Abstract: The invention discloses an active antenna distribution system based on a coaxial cable network, and the system comprises access equipment, coaxial cable network and terminal equipment, wherein high-frequency wireless signals are transmitted to the terminal equipment through the coaxial cable network after being subjected to frequency reduction through the access equipment. According to the activeantenna distribution system based on the coaxial cable network, a local side of an active antenna and the terminal equipment are respectively added to two ends of a coaxial cable; a wireless signal issubjected to wired transmission in the coaxial cable through a method of firstly reducing frequency and then increasing frequency, so the wireless signal can penetrate through obstacles such as a wall body, a forest and the like through a coaxial cable network, accurate coverage can be carried out, and the utilization rate of wireless equipment is fully improved.

TL;DR: A joint EM/Circuit modeling methodology, dedicated to active antennas arrays, with theoretical and experimental validations, with the elimination of isolators between PA and antennas.
Abstract: This paper describes a joint EM/Circuit modeling methodology, dedicated to active antennas arrays, with theoretical and experimental validations. The EM model handles inter-element coupling, while the Power Amplifier (PA) model can take important mismatching into account. Both models are then coupled to form a joint approach for EM/Circuit simulation and then validated using an active array demonstrator. An originality of this work is the elimination of isolators between PA and antennas.

TL;DR: In this article, an active antenna arrangement with a substantially rectangular or trapezoidal cutout of an electrically conductive vehicle body, which forms the electric ground, having a cutout length L in the direction transverse with respect to the vehicle and a cut-out width B in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, for radio reception in the meter and decimeter wavelength range was described.
Abstract: The invention relates to an active antenna arrangement having a substantially rectangular or trapezoidal cut-out of an electrically conductive vehicle body, which forms the electric ground, having a cut-out length L in the direction transverse with respect to the vehicle and a cut-out width B in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, for radio reception in the meter and decimeter wavelength range Said active antenna arrangement is characterized by the following features: the body cut-out is covered with a two-dimensional dielectric carrier, a flat antenna element is applied to the carrier as an electrically conductive layer which, with the border thereof, reaches as far as the edge of the cut-out, apart from a marginal spacing

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the recent developments by the author's group in the field of RF front-end technology design using the active antenna approach, including stand alone RF front end components such as an integrated polarization selective mixer antenna as well as more functional front end circuitry such as a retrodirective array transponder.
Abstract: This paper will discuss the recent developments by the author's group in the field of RF front-end technology design using the active antenna approach. This will include stand alone RF front-end components such as an integrated polarization selective mixer antenna as well as more functional front-end circuitry such as a retrodirective array transponder.
