TL;DR: In this paper, an asymmetric coplanar strip (ACS) fed microstrip antenna is proposed, which is matched by an active circuit to increase the bandwidth, and the proposed antenna is composed of feeding line, asymmetric ground plane, rectangle radiation patch.
Abstract: In this paper, an asymmetric coplanar strip (ACS) fed microstrip antenna is proposed, which is matched by an active circuit to increase the bandwidth. The proposed antenna is composed of feeding line, asymmetric ground plane, rectangle radiation patch. The antenna operates at 384 MHz and 645 MHz with a small fractional bandwidth of 19.2% and 18%, respectively, when the active circuit is not incorporated into the antenna matching network. By properly designing and optimizing the active circuit, the bandwidth has been greatly enhanced and a −10 dB fractional bandwidth of 197.7% from 5 MHz to 877 MHz has been achieved for the proposed antenna system.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an ultra-wideband active antenna array with electric scanning (UWAAS) consisting of pairs of the receiving and transmitting channels in which the same ultra wideband radiating element of the antenna array is connected to the receiving channel input and the transmitting channel output for the pair of the UWAAS.
Abstract: FIELD: electricity.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna equipment. Ultra-wideband active antenna array with electric scanning comprises pairs of the receiving and transmitting channels in which the same ultra-wideband radiating element of the antenna array is connected to the receiving channel input and the transmitting channel output for the pair of the receiving and transmitting channels, ultrawideband signal generators in the transmission channels, delay devices and switches in the receiving and transmitting channels, adder, ultra-wideband signal generator start-up system, monitoring and control system, self-controlled ultra-wideband antenna switches, self-controlled ultra-wideband SHF power limiters, ultra-wideband low-noise amplifiers, ultra-wideband transmitting optoelectronic modules, ultra-wideband receiving optoelectronic module, ultra-wideband control emitter, ultra-wideband signal reference generator, ultra-wideband couplers, ultra-wideband delay meter. Delay devices in the receiving channels are made ultra-wideband electronic and optical ones, switches in the receiving channels are made ultra-wideband, the adder is made optical.EFFECT: technical result consists in increase in the relative frequency band in the receiving and transmitting modes, radiated power, sensitivity in the receiving mode, of the potential in the transmission mode of the ultra-wideband antenna array.1 cl, 3 dwg

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed an active antenna system consisting of a coupling block adapted to sample a portion of a first telecommunication signal and a compensation block, which is coupled to the coupling block and is adapted to apply at least a phase compensation to the portion of the first telecommunications signal to obtain a first compensation signal.
Abstract: An active antenna system comprises a coupling block adapted to sample a portion of a first telecommunication signal and a compensation block. The compensation block is coupled to the coupling block and is adapted to apply at least a phase compensation to the portion of the first telecommunication signal, thereby obtaining a first compensation signal. The coupling block is further adapted to combine the first telecommunication signal and the first compensation signal into a compensated first telecommunications signal to be fed into an antenna arrangement

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide a method and an apparatus for virtual sectorization using an active antenna array (A-AAS) using a transmitter and a scheduler for scheduling transmission to user equipment based on feedback generated by the user equipment using the first reference signal or the second reference signals.
Abstract: Embodiments of the claimed subject matter provide a method and apparatus for virtual sectorization using an active antenna array Embodiments of the apparatus include a transmitter for providing signals to an active antenna array The signals cause the active antenna array to transmit a first reference signal to a first sector indicated to user equipment within the first sector by a sector identifier The signals also cause the active antenna array to transmit a plurality of second reference signals into a corresponding plurality of second virtual sectors that overlap the first sector The apparatus also includes a scheduler for scheduling transmission to user equipment based on feedback generated by the user equipment using the first reference signal or the second reference signals

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for communicating with a plurality of communication devices (UEs) using a phased array antenna system including an array of antenna elements was proposed, in which each data stream of the plurality of data streams intended for a different corresponding UE was received by preceding a data stream.
Abstract: A method for communicating with a plurality of communication devices (UEs) using a phased array antenna system including an array of antenna elements, the method involving: receiving a plurality of port signal streams, wherein the plurality of port signal streams was obtained by preceding a plurality of data streams., each data stream of the plurality of data streams intended for a different corresponding UE; and within the phased array antenna system, processing the plurality of port, signal streams to (1) undo the preceding that was performed on the plurality of data streams, and (2) generate via the array of antenna elements a plurality of transmit beams, wherein each transmit beam is directed towards a corresponding different UE among the plurality of UEs and carries a corresponding transmit signal that is derived exclusively from the data stream among the plurality of data streams that is intended for that.
