TL;DR: In this paper, a Lie algebra constructed from chiral primaries and their CFT conjugates is presented to determine the dynamics of the theory, its representations provide free and interacting Hamiltonians for chiral primary correlation functions.

TL;DR: In this paper, the correlation functions of certain 1/8 BPS Wilson loops and local operators inserted on a S 2 in space-time may be computed in terms of analogous observables in the zero-instanton sector of 2d Yang-Mills theory.
Abstract: We propose that, in $$ \mathcal{N} = 4 $$ Super Yang-Mills theory, correlation functions of certain 1/8 BPS Wilson loops and local operators inserted on a S 2 in space-time may be computed in terms of analogous observables in the “zero-instanton” sector of 2d Yang-Mills theory. The Wilson loops are mapped to the standard Wilson loops of the 2d theory, as recently conjectured, while the local operators are mapped to powers of the 2d field strength. We give several perturbative checks of the correspondence, and derive from 2d Yang-Mills a two-matrix model for the correlator of a local operator and a Wilson loop of arbitrary shape. We show that the strong coupling planar limit of the two-matrix model precisely agrees with a string theory calculation in AdS 5×S 5

TL;DR: The tunneling pair creation of W bosons by an external electric field on the Coulomb branch of N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory is studied to find that the pair creation formula has an upper critical electric field beyond which the process is no longer exponentially suppressed.
Abstract: We study tunneling pair creation of W-Bosons by an external electric field on the Coulomb branch of N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory. We use AdS/CFT holography to find a generalization of Schwinger's formula for the pair production rate to the strong coupling, planar limit which includes the exchange of virtual massless particles to all orders. We find that the pair creation formula has an upper critical electric field beyond which the process is no longer exponentially suppressed. The value of the critical field is identical to that which occurs in the Born-Infeld action of probe D3-branes in the AdS5XS5 background.

TL;DR: In this paper, the one-loop correction to the energy of a folded string in AdS4 × P 3 with spin S and angular momentum J in P 3 was shown to correspond to the sub-leading strong coupling correction of operators of the type T r(D S (Y † Y ) J ) in the dual N = 6 Chern-Simons-matter theory.
Abstract: We analyze the folded spinning string in AdS4 × P 3 with spin S in AdS4 and angular momentum J in P 3 . We calculate the one-loop correction to its energy in the scaling limit of both ln S and J large with their ratio kept fixed. This result should correspond to the first subleading strong coupling correction to the anomalous dimension of operators of the type T r(D S (Y † Y ) J ) in the dual N = 6 Chern-Simons-matter theory. Our result appears to depart from the predictions for the generalized scaling function found from the all-loop Bethe equations conjectured for this AdS4/CFT3 duality. We comment on the possible origin of this difference.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors study stress tensor correlation functions in four-dimensional conformal field theories with large N and a sparse spectrum and conclude that the structure is universal, and in particular that the anomaly coefficients satisfy a ≈ c as conjectured by Camanho et al.
Abstract: We study stress tensor correlation functions in four-dimensional conformal field theories with large N and a sparse spectrum. Theories in this class are expected to have local holographic duals, so effective field theory in anti-de Sitter suggests that the stress tensor sector should exhibit universal, gravity-like behavior. At the linearized level, the hallmark of locality in the emergent geometry is that stress tensor three-point functions 〈T T T 〉, normally specified by three constants, should approach a universal structure controlled by a single parameter as the gap to higher spin operators is increased. We demonstrate this phenomenon by a direct CFT calculation. Stress tensor exchange, by itself, violates causality and unitarity unless the three-point functions are carefully tuned, and the unique consistent choice exactly matches the prediction of Einstein gravity. Under some assumptions about the other potential contributions, we conclude that this structure is universal, and in particular, that the anomaly coefficients satisfy a ≈ c as conjectured by Camanho et al. The argument is based on causality of a four-point function, with kinematics designed to probe bulk locality, and invokes the chaos bound of Maldacena, Shenker, and Stanford.
