TL;DR: In this article, the N = 2 superspace formulation of the Bagger-Lambert-Gustavsson theory was studied and the full SU(4)R-symmetry of the ABJM theory was proved.
Abstract: We discuss the N = 2 superspace formulation of the N = 8 superconformal Bagger-Lambert-Gustavsson theory, and of the N = 6 superconformal Aharony-Bergman-Jafferis-Maldacena U(N) x U(N) Chern-Simons theory. In particular, we prove the full SU(4)R-symmetry of the ABJM theory. We then consider orbifold projections of this theory that give non-chiral and chiral (U( N) x U(N))(n) superconformal quiver gauge theories. We argue that these theories are dual to certain AdS(4) x S-7/(Z(n) x Z (k$) over tilde) backgrounds of M-theory. We also study a SU(3) invariant mass term in the superpotential that makes the N = 8 theory flow to a N = 2 superconformal gauge theory with a sextic superpotential. We conjecture that this gauge theory is dual to the U(1)(R) x SU(3) invariant extremum of the N = 8 gauged supergravity, which was discovered by N. Warner 25 years ago and whose uplifting to 11 dimensions was found more recently.

TL;DR: In this article, higher derivative corrections to the graviton three-point coupling within a weakly coupled theory of gravity were considered, and it was shown that the gravity wave non-gaussianity deviates significantly from the one computed in the Einstein theory.
Abstract: We consider higher derivative corrections to the graviton three-point coupling within a weakly coupled theory of gravity. Lorentz invariance allows further structures beyond the one present in the Einstein theory. We argue that these are constrained by causality. We devise a thought experiment involving a high energy scattering process which leads to causality violation if the graviton three-point vertex contains the additional structures. This violation cannot be fixed by adding conventional particles with spins J ≤ 2. But, it can be fixed by adding an infinite tower of extra massive particles with higher spins, J > 2. In AdS theories this implies a constraint on the conformal anomaly coefficients (Formula Presented) in terms of Δgap, the dimension of the lightest single trace operator with spin J > 2. For inflation, or de Sitter-like solutions, it indicates the existence of massive higher spin particles if the gravity wave non-gaussianity deviates significantly from the one computed in the Einstein theory.

TL;DR: In this article, a recent proof of the cluster decomposition principle in AdS4 from the CFT3 bootstrap is presented, which requires knowledge of the Virasoro conformal blocks in a lightcone OPE limit.
Abstract: We begin by explicating a recent proof of the cluster decomposition principle in AdS4 from the CFT3 bootstrap. The CFT argument also computes the leading interactions between distant objects in AdS4, and we conrm the universal agreement between the CFT bootstrap and AdS gravity in the semi-classical limit. We proceed to study the generalization to CFT2, which requires knowledge of the Virasoro conformal blocks in a lightcone OPE limit. We compute these blocks in a semi- classical, large central charge approximation, and use them to prove a suitably modied theorem. In particular, from the d = 2 bootstrap we prove the existence of large spin operators withxedanomalous dimensions' indicative of the presence of decit angles in AdS3. As we approach the threshold for the BTZ black hole, interpreted as a CFT2 scaling dimension, the twist spectrum of large spin operators becomes dense. Due to the exchange of the Virasoro identity block, primary states above the BTZ threshold mimic a thermal background for light operators. We derive the BTZ quasi- normal modes, and we use the bootstrap equation to prove that the twist spectrum is dense. Corrections to thermality could be obtained from a more rened computation of the Virasoro conformal blocks.

TL;DR: In this paper, the amplitude of planar planar amplitudes in = 4 super Yang Mills at strong 't Hooft coupling is approximated by classical surfaces in AdS5 space, and a prescription for computing processes involving local operators and asymptotic states with a fixed number of gluons is given.
Abstract: In this article we consider n gluon color ordered, planar amplitudes in = 4 super Yang Mills at strong 't Hooft coupling. These amplitudes are approximated by classical surfaces in AdS5 space. We compute the value of the amplitude for a particular kinematic configuration for a large number of gluons and find that the result disagrees with a recent guess for the exact value of the amplitude. Our results are still compatible with a possible relation between amplitudes and Wilson loops. In addition, we also give a prescription for computing processes involving local operators and asymptotic states with a fixed number of gluons. As a byproduct, we also obtain a string theory prescription for computing the dual of the ordinary Wilson loop, TrPeiA, with no couplings to the scalars. We also evaluate the quark-antiquark potential at two loops.

TL;DR: The new holography, which may be called anti-de Sitter BCFT, successfully calculates the boundary entropy or g function in two-dimensional BCFTs and it agrees with the finite part of the holographic entanglement entropy, and can naturally derive a holographic g theorem.
Abstract: We propose a holographic dual of a conformal field theory defined on a manifold with boundaries, i.e., boundary conformal field theory (BCFT). Our new holography, which may be called anti-de Sitter BCFT, successfully calculates the boundary entropy or g function in two-dimensional BCFTs and it agrees with the finite part of the holographic entanglement entropy. Moreover, we can naturally derive a holographic g theorem. We also analyze the holographic dual of an interval at finite temperature and show that there is a first order phase transition.
