TL;DR: In this paper, the authors contextualize and introduce large, in some cases infinite, families of supergravity solutions with hyperscaling violation, focusing on scale covariant generalizations of AdS and Schrodinger spacetimes.
Abstract: In recent applications of AdS/CFT to condensed matter physics, a metric that transforms covariantly under dilatation has been argued to signal hyperscaling violation in a dual quantum field theory. We contextualize and introduce large, in some cases infinite, families of supergravity solutions with this property, focusing on scale covariant generalizations of AdS and Schrodinger spacetimes. These embeddings rely on various aspects of dimensional reduction and flux compactification of eleven-dimensional supergravity. Our top-down approach can be viewed as a partial holographic classification of the landscape of strongly coupled, UV complete quantum field theories with hyperscaling violation.

TL;DR: In this article, a renement of the Gaberdiel-Gopakumar duality conjecture was proposed for WN conformal fields and 2+1-dimensional higher spin gravity, and the authors made an identication of generic representations of the WN CFT with bulk congurations.
Abstract: We propose a renement of the Gaberdiel-Gopakumar duality conjecture be- tween WN conformal eld theories and 2+1-dimensional higher spin gravity. We make an identication of generic representations of the WN CFT in the semiclassical limit with bulk congurations. By studying the spectrum of the semiclassical limit of the WN theories and mapping to solutions of Euclidean Vasiliev gravity at = N, we propose that the 'light states' of the WN minimal models in the 't Hooft limit map not to the conical defects of the Vasiliev theory, but rather to bound states of perturbative scalar elds with these defects. Evidence for this identication comes from comparing charges and from holo- graphic relations between CFT null states and bulk symmetries. We also make progress in understanding the coupling of scalar matter to sl(N) gauge elds.

TL;DR: In this article, the free energies and phase diagrams of two-dimensional CFTs are shown to be universal in the large N limit, and they can be interpreted as holographic duals to gravity theories on AdS_3.
Abstract: Since many thermodynamic properties of black holes are universal, the thermodynamics of their holographic duals should be universal too. We show how this universality is exhibited in the example of symmetric orbifolds of general two dimensional CFTs. We discuss the free energies and phase diagrams of such theories and show that they are indeed universal in the large N limit. We also comment on the implications of our results for the classification of CFTs that can have an interpretation as holographic duals to gravity theories on AdS_3.

TL;DR: In this paper, a new quantum Yangian symmetry of the AdS/CFT S-matrix was discovered, which complements the original (2|2) symmetry to (2.2) and does not have a Lie algebra analog.
Abstract: We find a new quantum Yangian symmetry of the AdS/CFT S-matrix, which complements the original (2|2) symmetry to (2|2) and does not have a Lie algebra analog. Our finding is motivated by the Yangian double structure discovered at the classical level.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore the large N limit of 2 super Yang-Mills theories with massive matter multiplets, which exhibit a number of interesting phenomena including quantum phase transitions at finite Hooft coupling.
Abstract: Using exact results obtained from localization on S 4, we explore the large N limit of $ \mathcal{N} $ = 2 super Yang-Mills theories with massive matter multiplets. We focus on three cases: $ \mathcal{N} $ = 2* theory, describing a massive hypermultiplet in the adjoint representation, SU(N) super-Yang-Mills with 2N massive hypermultiplets in the fundamental, and super QCD with massive quarks. When the radius of the four-sphere is sent to infinity the theories at hand are described by solvable matrix models, which exhibit a number of interesting phenomena including quantum phase transitions at finite ’t Hooft coupling.
