TL;DR: In this article, the most important classes of solitons: kinks, vortices and magnetic monopoles are discussed, as well as the cosmological and observational constraints on these are covered.
Abstract: Classical solutions play an important role in quantum field theory, high energy physics and cosmology. Real-time soliton solutions give rise to particles, such as magnetic monopoles, and extended structures, such as domain walls and cosmic strings, that have implications for early universe cosmology. Imaginary-time Euclidean instantons are responsible for important nonperturbative effects, while Euclidean bounce solutions govern transitions between metastable states. Written for advanced graduate students and researchers in elementary particle physics, cosmology and related fields, this book brings the reader up to the level of current research in the field. The first half of the book discusses the most important classes of solitons: kinks, vortices and magnetic monopoles. The cosmological and observational constraints on these are covered, as are more formal aspects, including BPS solitons and their connection with supersymmetry. The second half is devoted to Euclidean solutions, with particular emphasis on Yang–Mills instantons and on bounce solutions.

TL;DR: In this article, various classes of fishnet Feynman graphs are shown to feature a Yangian symmetry over the conformal algebra, which results in novel differential equations for these families of integrals.
Abstract: Various classes of fishnet Feynman graphs are shown to feature a Yangian symmetry over the conformal algebra. We explicitly discuss scalar graphs in three, four and six spacetime dimensions as well as the inclusion of fermions in four dimensions. The Yangian symmetry results in novel differential equations for these families of largely unsolved Feynman integrals. Notably, the considered fishnet graphs in three and four dimensions dominate the correlation functions and scattering amplitudes in specific double-scaling limits of planar, $\ensuremath{\gamma}$-twisted $\mathcal{N}=4$ super Yang--Mills or Aharony-Bergman-Jafferis-Maldacena (ABJM) theory. Consequently, the study of fishnet graphs allows us to get deep insights into the integrability of the planar $\mathrm{AdS}/\mathrm{CFT}$ correspondence.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the non-normalizable solutions of totally symmetric arbitrary spin shadow fields in flat space-time of dimension greater than or equal to four and obtained gauge invariant two-point vertices for such shadow fields.
Abstract: In the framework of gauge invariant Stueckelberg approach, totally symmetric arbitrary spin shadow fields in flat space-time of dimension greater than or equal to four are studied. Gauge invariant two-point vertices for such shadow fields are obtained. We demonstrate that, in Stueckelberg gauge frame, these gauge invariant vertices become the standard two-point vertices of CFT. Light-cone gauge two-point vertices of the shadow fields are also obtained. AdS/CFT correspondence for the shadow fields and the non-normalizable solutions of free massless totally symmetric arbitrary spin AdS fields is studied. AdS fields are considered in a modified de Donder gauge and this simplifies considerably the study of AdS/CFT correspondence. We demonstrate that the bulk action, when it is evaluated on solution of the Dirichlet problem, leads to the two-point gauge invariant vertex of shadow field. Also we show that the bulk action evaluated on solution of the Dirichlet problem leads to new description of conformal fields. The new description involves Stueckelberg gauge symmetries and gives simple higher-derivative Lagrangian for the conformal arbitrary spin field. In the Stueckelberg gauge frame, our Lagrangian becomes the standard Lagrangian of conformal field. Light-cone gauge Lagrangian of the arbitrary spin conformal field is also obtained.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider conformal blocks of two heavy operators and an arbitrary number of light operators in a (1+1)-d CFT with large central charge and use the monodromy method to factorize into products of 4-point conformal block in the heavy-light limit for a class of OPE channels.
Abstract: We consider conformal blocks of two heavy operators and an arbitrary number of light operators in a (1+1)-d CFT with large central charge. Using the monodromy method, these higher-point conformal blocks are shown to factorize into products of 4-point conformal blocks in the heavy-light limit for a class of OPE channels. This result is reproduced by considering suitable worldline configurations in the bulk conical defect geometry. We apply the CFT results to calculate the entanglement entropy of an arbitrary number of disjoint intervals for heavy states. The corresponding holographic entanglement entropy calculated via the minimal area prescription precisely matches these results from CFT. Along the way, we briefly illustrate the relation of these conformal blocks to Riemann surfaces and their associated moduli space.

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of a magnetic field on transport using holographic models with broken translational invariance were studied and the authors obtained simple analytic expressions for the electrical, thermoelectric and heat conductivity tensors.
Abstract: In this note we study the effects of a magnetic field on transport using holographic models with broken translational invariance. We show that, after carefully sub-tracting off non-trivial magnetisation currents, it is possible to express the DC transport currents of the boundary theory in terms of properties of a black hole horizon. This allows us to obtain simple analytic expressions for the electrical, thermoelectric and heat conductivity tensors. Our results apply to both isotropic and anisotropic models, including holographic Q-lattices and to certain theories where translational invariance is broken by linear sources for axions.
