TL;DR: Based on the air pollution data and meteorological data from 2002 to 2004, Wang et al. as discussed by the authors analyzed air pollution characters and trend in Zibo City and estimated the atmospheric environment capacity of pollutants using the A-P method.
Abstract: Based on the air pollution data and meteorological data from 2002 to 2004,the air pollution characters and trend in Zibo City were analyzed. The atmospheric environment capacity of pollutants was estimated using the A-P method.Investigation indicates that the key air pollutants are inhalable particle matter(PM10) and sulfur dioxide(SO2),and their emissions have both exceeded the atmospheric environment capacity. In addition, the possible origins of air masses from pheripheral areas on heavy air pollution days were calculated using the NOAA HYSPLIT4 backward trajectory model, and results suggest that non-local origin pollutants were mainly transported by the northerly flow from Northeast China and eastern Inner Mongolia and the westerly flow from central Mongolia. All these findings provide a scientific basis for making plans of city's development as well as for bring air pollution under control in the future.

TL;DR: In this article, the meteorological condition during air pollution was analyzed based on meteorological data from Guangxi Meteorological Service Center, and the results showed that during the air pollution period, the concentration particulate pollutant as the major cause of air pollution, increased significantly.
Abstract: Through observing the air quality in four city monitor station of Nanning from 5th to 12th November,2012,the concentration change of particulate pollutant,PM10 and PM2.5,and the concentration of main composition of PM2.5 were analyzed. The meteorological condition during air pollution was analyzed based on meteorological data from Guangxi Meteorological Service Center. The results showed that during the air pollution period, the concentration particulate pollutant as the major cause of the air pollution, increased significantly.OM and Sulfate are the main components of PM2.5 at that time. The meteorological factors play an important role in the air pollution.Air came from Hunan direction also played a certain role in long time air pollution.

TL;DR: In this article, air quality measurements (of predominantly transport-related pollutants) were made at three sites of contrasting degrees of motor traffic influence, and fitting normal, log normal and censored log normal distributions to the air pollutant data indicated that the data was lognormally distributed.
Abstract: Air quality measurements (of predominantly transport‐related pollutants) were made at three sites of contrasting degrees of motor traffic influence. Fitting normal, log‐normal and censored log‐normal distributions to the air pollutant data indicated that the data was log‐normally distributed. Little benefit was obtained by censoring low concentrations of the pollutants. Multiple regression analysis demonstrated significant autocorrelation within the data.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed standards on the content of the polluting compounds (fly ashes, CO, NO2, SO2) based on tests and studies made at the boiler of type BKZ-420-140 of the thermal power plant #4, Ulaanbaatar city, Mongolia.
Abstract: Rapid urbanization and industrialization cause increase in energy consumption and generate air and water and soil pollution from the particulate emission into the atmosphere caused by fuel combustion in energy production. There are no emission standards and norms for these polluting substances, and thus, environmental monitoring and inspection organizations cannot objectively measure the impact of air pollution, and effectively control it. Coal-fired power plants release nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon dioxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2) and fly ashes as like pollutant compounds during the operation time. Therefore, there is a need in scientific based methods for measurement of air pollutants in order to establish standards for air pollution monitoring and controlling. This work researched some air pollutant substances, and proposed methods for establishing monitoring and measurement standards. This study have proposed standards on the content of the polluting compounds (fly ashes, CO, NO2, SO2) based on tests and studies made at the boiler of type BKZ-420-140 of the thermal power plant #4, Ulaanbaatar city, Mongolia.
