TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method for image overlay compositing that combines the first image and the second image based on one or more of the attributes of each of the two images.
Abstract: Implementations generally relate to image overlay compositing In some implementations, a method includes receiving a first image and a second image The method further includes determining one or more attributes of each of the first image and the second image, where the one or more attributes includes one or more image types The method further includes determining one or more compositing techniques combine the first image and the second image based on one or more of the attributes

TL;DR: In this article, a shape mask is used to obtain a current accumulation image from the current element of the digital image and then cross-fading it with the modified backdrop image using the shape mask.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing techniques for compositing a digital image. The invention performs the steps of providing a current accumulation image; identifying as the current element of the digital image to be processed a graphics element having a backdrop property, the backdrop property identifying a backdrop image into which the element is to be blended; using the element and the backdrop image to create a modified backdrop image; obtaining a shape mask for the element; and crossfading the current accumulation image with the modified backdrop image using the shape mask. The result of the crossfading becomes the current accumulation image for any further compositing.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an image compositing apparatus consisting of a first obtaining unit, a first compositing unit, an image composition order, a calculating unit, and a second obtaining unit.
Abstract: An image compositing apparatus of the present invention composites a video image and a plurality of graphical images together into a final composite image. The image compositing apparatus includes a first obtaining unit, a first compositing unit, a calculating unit, a second obtaining unit, and a second compositing unit. The first obtaining unit obtains the graphical images and composition information that includes an image compositing order and is used for calculating the composition ratios of the images to the final composite image. The first compositing unit composites the graphical images together into one composite graphical image according to the composition information. The calculating unit calculates the composition ratio of the video image to the final composite image according to the composition information. The second obtaining unit obtains frames of the video image. The second compositing unit composites the frames with the composite graphical image using the composition ratio of the video image.

TL;DR: A video manipulation formalism that includes several special effects authoring tools such as animation, transfiguration, and augmented reality, based on a 2-D mesh-based video object representation that allows alpha blending of a moving object with another object using an alpha map sequence and a moving texture map.
Abstract: We propose a video manipulation formalism that includes several special effects authoring tools such as animation, transfiguration, and augmented reality, based on a 2-D mesh-based video object representation. Texture maps of video objects are registered on a reference mesh, and then transfigured (rendered) by warping them using 2-D mesh mappings that are obtained by tracking the original sequence of video objects. The formalism also allows alpha blending of a moving object with another object using an alpha map sequence and a moving texture map. A VRML browser is used as an interactive user-interface to implement these manipulation tools. A Web demo is also available.

TL;DR: In this paper, a robust and secure watermarking method for a color image in Y CbCr color space was proposed using Lifting Wavelet Transform (LWT), where edge entropy and information entropy is used to find the block to embed watermark.
Abstract: This paper proposes a robust and secure watermarking method for a color image in Y CbCr color space. In this study, watermarking is performed using Lifting Wavelet Transform (LWT). Here, edge entropy and information entropy is used to find the block to embed watermark. In this work alpha blending scheme is used for embedding and extraction of watermarks in the LWT domain. The use of LWT makes the proposed scheme faster and more efficient. The Arnold Cat Map (ACM) is used to enhance watermark security. Numerous tests are presented to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed scheme. The experimental results obtained are compared to state-of-the-art schemes, which demonstrate the superiority of the proposed scheme.
