Abstract: In this paper, poly aluminium chloride (PAC) was used to remove phenol and aniline from the aqueous phase .The adsorption properties of this process was investigated by zeta potential measurement, infrared spectroscopy and the analysis of pollutants structure and adsorption kinetic. The results described that not only electrostatic attraction but hydrogen adsorption were the main mechanism of both the phenol adsorption and the aniline adsorption. The pseudo second-order kinetic equation could best describe these two adsorption kinetics. The calculated activated energy of adsorption processes of phenol and aniline were 47.2KJ/mol and 44KJ/mol, respectively, which indicated that the adsorption process was chemisorption. Friedrich model was fitter to describe the adsorption isotherm of these two adsorption processes.

TL;DR: In this paper, isododecylphosphetanoic acid can be used as a component of extractants in hydrometallurgy to extract metals, and the proposed method involves the reaction of equimolar amounts of tetramers of propylene and phosphorus trichloride in the presence of anhydrous aluminium chloride, two-step hydrolysis of the reaction product.
Abstract: FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: isododecylphosphetanoic acid can be used as a component of extractants in hydrometallurgy to extract metals. The proposed method involves the reaction of equimolar amounts of tetramers of propylene and phosphorus trichloride in the presence of anhydrous aluminium chloride, two-step hydrolysis of the reaction product, separation of the hydrolysis product from the organic layer after delamination, distilling off the solvent from the hydrolysis product of the second stage, wherein the first stage hydrolysis is conducted at 10-15°C, and in the second stage - at 50-60°C.EFFECT: producing the material required for the extraction of metals.4 cl, 1 ex

TL;DR: The free-radical copolymerization of N-vinylsuccinimide with butyl acrylate performed in dimethyl sulfoxide and benzyl alcohol in the presence of zinc chloride and aluminum chloride as complexing agents is studied in this article.
Abstract: The free-radical copolymerization of N-vinylsuccinimide with butyl acrylate performed in dimethyl sulfoxide and benzyl alcohol in the presence of zinc chloride and aluminum chloride as complexing agents is studied Under the given conditions, the reactivity ratios are determined It is shown that zinc chloride influences the electron-density distribution only in butyl acrylate molecules It is found that benzyl alcohol retards the total rate of polymerization The character of the monomer-unit distribution in copolymer macromolecules is described

TL;DR: In this paper, the removal of gallium compounds from DMAC-containing compositions is discussed, comprising the steps of: (i) adding methyl aluminium sesquichloride (MASC) to a DMAC containing composition, thereby forming dimethyl aluminium chloride (DMAC) and methyl gallium chloride (Me x GaCI (3-X), wherein x = 1 or 2), reducing said methyl galliam chloride with metallic aluminium to form methyl aluminium dichloride, and (ii) removing metallic gallium from the DMACcontaining composition.

TL;DR: The antiperspirating agents are the daily household products used globally by both the genders to minimize excessive sweating as mentioned in this paper. Approximately about 90% of U.S population regularly uses Antiperspirants.
Abstract: The antiperspirating agents are the daily household products used globally by both the genders to minimize excessive sweating. Approximately about 90% of U.S population regularly uses antiperspirants. The most consistently used components since the commercial introduction of antiperspirants in 1903 are the aluminium salts. Aluminium chloride is used as a catalyst in the process of Friedel Crafts. It is a salt of aluminium and chloride. It is widely used in the manufacturing of many petrochemicals, in the manufacturing pharmaceuticals, dyes intermediates and other organic chemicals, in the production of rubber; lubricants and wood preservatives, and in cosmetics as an astringent; active ingredient in antiperspirants.
