Abstract: Heat storage material comprises a latent heat storage agent (I) consisting of a caustic soda liquor with a concn. of 60-80 wt.% NaOH and 40-20 wt.% H2O, and 0.01-5 (pref. 0.05-1) wt. parts (per 100 wt. parts I) of seed crystals or nucleating agent (II), enclosed in liquid-tight manner in a casing, capsule, flexible tube, sphere or similar container or package which is in (in-)direct heat transfer contact with a liq. heat-transfer medium of density lower than that of (I). The novelty is that (I) exhibits an eutectic at 62.3 deg.C (corresponding to a 74.3 wt.% caustic soda liquor) and (II) are aluminates of formula M Al(OH)4 (where M=alkali metal) or non-toxic aluminium salts or aluminium hydroxide (in anhydrous or hydrated form) which react with NaOH to form sodium aluminate, and/or CaCO3 (in anhydrous or hydrated form).

Abstract: The invention discloses a preparation method for utilizing desert sand to synthesize mullite whiskers at the low temperature. The desert sand, aluminium hydroxide and bauxite are used as main materials, AlF and V O are added to serve as additives, and the mullite whiskers are obtained through blending, dry grinding, mixing, smashing, screening and buried combustion. By means of the preparation method, the preparation cost of the mullite whiskers is remarkably reduced, and comprehensive resource utilization of the desert sand is promoted. Therefore, the preparation method has higher economic and social values.

Abstract: Series of ZSM-5 and Y zeolite catalysts have been prepared. Zeolites were submitted to ion exchange, drying, formation with 50 wt.% of aluminium hydroxide as a binder and then to final thermal treatment. Determination of catalysts activity in 1-pentene isomerization reaction was carried out in the temperature range of 175–325°C. The highest activity in isomerization reaction was attained in the presence of ZSM-5 zeolite catalysts with strong and medium strength acidity.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for preparing submicron aluminium oxide by a two-stage roasting method, relating to a method for preparing important structural and functional material submicron aluminium oxide used in the fields of electricity, medical treatment, information and the like. The method is characterized in that fluidization primary roasting is carried out on industrial aluminium hydroxide taken as a raw material at the temperature of 400-900 DEG C under the protection of nitrogen, thus obtaining activated aluminium oxide; then organic pickling is carried out, filtering and drying are carried out, and additive is added, so that particle dispersion is uniform, aluminium oxide crystal grains are inhibited from growing at high temperature, and the crystal grains purified; and the crystal grains are evenly mixed, and secondary roasting is carried out at the temperature of 1100-1400 DEG C, thus obtaining the submicron aluminium oxide powder. The submicron aluminium oxide powder prepared by the method has uniform particles, the average grain size is less than or equal to 0.9mu m, the purity is high, and the dispersibility is good. The preparation method is simple, and is low in cost and good in repeatability, thus being easy to realize industrialization.
