Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable omeprazole-containing pharmaceutical preparation in which decomposition and discoloration are suppressed over a long period. SOLUTION: The solid pharmaceutical preparation is obtained by coating a nucleic composition comprising omeprazole or its salt and a buffer composed of a coprecipitate of a polyvalent metal hydroxide and a carbonic metal salt with at least one kind of enteric polymer selected from cellulosecarboxyalkyl ethers and (meth)acrylic polymers. The buffer may be composed of a coprecipitate of aluminium hydroxide and a carbonic metal alkali salt (particularly a coprecipitate of aluminium hydroxide and sodium hydrogancarbonate). The enteric polymer may be composed of a carboxymethyl-1-4C alkylcellulose, a methacrylic acid-acrylic 1-4C alkyl ester, or the like. Abstract: A sequential quantitative analysis of free alveolar cells was performed on S.P.F. rats after intratracheal injection of Be (OH)2 and Al (OH)3. The induced lesions were entirely restored 20 days after the initial injection. Beryllium hydroxide inhibited DNA synthesis in the free alveolar macrophages and the transeptal cellular flow could be evidenced. Aluminium hydroxide increased the number of free cells without inhibiting DNA synthesis. Quantitative variations of polymorphonuclears, lymphocytes and macrophages were correlated with changes in the alveolar environment. A strong direct correlation between the number of lymphocytes and DNA synthetizing macrophages was shown out. This reaction was not observed in beryllium treated rats.

Abstract: The mechanochemical formation and homogeneity of aluminosilicate precursors was investigated with respect to the influence of particle size and chemical form of the aluminium hydroxide starting material. Aluminium hydroxide in the form of bayerite with a large particle size was found to be more reactive than gibbsite of small particle size. 29Si and 27Al MAS–NMR, DTA–TG, and XRD measurements showed that ground mixtures of aluminium hydroxide and silica gel are more homogeneous than mixtures containing silicic acid.
