TL;DR: The solid phase synthesis of an octacosapeptide amide corresponding to the amino acid sequence of porcine vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) was described in this paper.
Abstract: The solid-phase synthesis of an octacosapeptide amide corresponding to the amino acid sequence of porcine vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) is described. No final treatment with strong, anhydrous acid was employed, since the use of base-labile 9-fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl amino acids bearing tert-butyl based side chain protection enabled the peptide chain assembly to be performed on p-benzyloxybenzyl amine resin, which was cleaved from the whole peptide amide at the end of the synthesis by diluted trifluoroacetic acid.

TL;DR: An oligomer N-alkyl-iminoalane, made up of a plurality of four and/or six member rings of the formulae, is prepared by reacting a primary amine containing a secondary or tertiary carbon atom in alpha or beta position with respect to the amine nitrogen atom or amide derivative thereof as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: An oligomer N-alkyl-iminoalane, made up of a plurality of four and/or six member rings of the formulae: ##STR1## wherein R is an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon combined in a tridimensional cage structure having the chemical composition (HAl-NR) n , in which R has the above meaning and n is a whole number lower than or equal to 10, is prepared by reacting a primary amine containing a secondary or tertiary carbon atom in alpha or beta position with respect to the amine nitrogen atom or amide derivative thereof wherein the amine radical contains a secondary or tertiary carbon atom in alpha or beta position with respect to the nitrogen atom with a complex formed by AlH 3 and a Lewis base, or by reacting said primary amine with an alkali or alkaline-earth metal alanate.

TL;DR: Complexes of the tridentate chelating agent 1,l0-phenanthroline-2-carboxamide, with bivalent iron, cobalt, nickel, and copper are described in this paper.
Abstract: Complexes of the tridentate chelating agent 1,l0-phenanthroline-2- carboxamide, with bivalent iron, cobalt, nickel, and copper are described. Bis-ligand, six-coordinate complexes were obtained with all metals. A series of mono-ligand complexes, which are also believed to be six-coordinate, was also obtained. Infrared evidence indicates that the amide group is bound through the oxygen atom. Electronic spectral and magnetic data indicate that the ligand produces a relatively weak field and the iron complexes are high-spin. The tris-ligand iron(11) complex of pyridine-2-carboxamide is also described. This too is high-spin, although the bidentate amide apparently produces a slightly stronger field than the tridentate.

Abstract: IN THE PRODUCTION OF HAOGEN-CONTAINING POLYARYL ESTERS BY THE POLYCONDENSATION OF HALOGEN-CONTAINING DISPHENOLS AND AROMATIC ACID DICHLORIDES IN THE PRESENCE OF A CATALYST COMPRISING A TETIARY AMINE, AN AID AMIDE OR MIXTURES THEREOF, THE IMPROVEMENT WHICH COMPRISES EFFECTING THE CONDESATION IN THE PRESENCE OF ABOUT 0.001 TO 50 MOLEPERCENT BASED ON THE ACID DICHLORIDE, OF AT LEAST ONE ACTIVATOR SELECTED FROM THE GROUP CONSISTING OF MAGNESIUM COMPOUNDS, AND OXIDES, CHLORIDES OR HYDROCHLORIDES OF CU, ZR, SN, TN, V, PB AND FE. THE CONDENSATION IS PREFERABLY EFFECTED IN SOLUTION USING AS ACTIVATED CUO, CUCI, ZRCI4, SNCL2, TICL4, COCI3, PBO, FE2O3 OR AN ALLOY OF MG, CU, ZR, SN, TI, V, PB OR FE. IN THIS MANNER HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT CAN BE ATTAINED IN SHORT REACTION TIMES.
