Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the specification of a user adding annotation, in an information display processing system using the annotation. SOLUTION: When an addition information display control part 302 displays the annotation of a confirmation target user, the control part 302 changes over a display mode to a display mode different from a normal display mode in each the annotation added by the target user and acquired from an annotation DB 216 and displays the annotation. Abstract: Product annotation in videos is of great importance for video browsing, search, and advertisement. However, most of the existing automatic video annotation research focuses on the annotation of high-level concepts, such as events, scenes, and object categories. This article presents a novel solution to the annotation of specific products in videos by mining information from the Web. It collects a set of high-quality training data for each product by simultaneously leveraging Amazon and Google image search engine. A visual signature for each product is then built based on the bag-of-visual-words representation of the training images. A correlative sparsification approach is employed to remove noisy bins in the visual signatures. These signatures are used to annotate video frames. We conduct experiments on more than 1,000 videos and the results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of our approach.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture that may be used to attach annotations to a particular view of data described by the annotation are provided. The annotation may be attached in a manner that allows the annotation to be viewed when subsequent views having at least some visible cells in common with the annotated view are displayed. An annotation created for a view of data may be stored with links to each cell visible in the view. When a predetermined set of cells visible in the annotated view are subsequently displayed in another view, the annotation may be retrieved via the cell links and an indication of the annotation may be provided.
