TL;DR: In this paper, the connection between the three notions of the title, evidence, externality and antecedence in relation to the concept of antecedent causation is investigated.
Abstract: I want to tackle two related problems in the analysis of later Greek causal concepts. Firstly, what is the distinction, in Hellenistic theory (in particular medical theory), between aTtta tQoxaTaQXTLXa' and acTLca n3Qo?yov'1Eva, between antecedent and preceding causes? And secondly, what exactly is the connection between the three notions of the title, evidence, externality and antecedence, in relation to the concept of antecedent causation? Both these issues have provoked puzzlement; and the resolution of that puzzlement should contribute to a better understanding of the complexities of later Greek causal taxonomy.

TL;DR: In this paper, a conceptual framework is proposed to study the role of green information system in improving company's environmental performance, and find out the antecedents in helping to create an effective green information systems.
Abstract: As society becomes more and more aware of the negative impacts of business operations on environment and other aspects of society, companies have started to adopt environmental friendly activities due to the increasing pressures and concerns. How to improve company's environmental performance is the major challenge facing many managers. This study proposes a conceptual framework to study the role of green information system in improving company's environmental performance, and find out the antecedents in helping to create an effective green information system. A conceptual framework is proposed and tested empirically by using the data collected from China. This study contributes to the literature and by providing research direction and real-world practitioners with helpful guideline to build green information system.

TL;DR: This article investigated the extent to which hedonic theory explains the nature of the established antecedents of marital roles (resource theory, sex-role orientation, least-interested partner hypothesis, and involvement) on relative influence and strategy usage in purchase decision making for married and nontraditional couples.
Abstract: The research reported here investigated the extent to which hedonic theory explains the nature of the effects of the established antecedents of marital roles (resource theory, sex-role orientation, least-interested partner hypothesis, and involvement) on relative influence and strategy usage in purchase decision making for married and nontraditional couples (cohabiting heterosexual, gay, and lesbian couples). The findings reveal that hedonic theory (the effect of partners' [dis]similarity in an antecedent on that antecedent's impact of relational power) explains the majority of cases where the impact of the antecedents on power vary across couple types. In some cases, however, hedonic theory is lacking in its explanatory power, thus indicating that couple types differ other than the extent to which partners are (dis)similar demographically or socioeconomically. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

TL;DR: It is argued that anaphoric pronouns should always be interpreted exhaustively, and it is proposed that pronouns are either used referentially and refer to the speaker's referents of their antecedent indefinites, or descriptively and go proxy for the description recoverable from its antecedents.
Abstract: In this paper I argue that anaphoric pronouns should always be interpreted exhaustively. I propose that pronouns are either used referentially and refer to the speaker's referents of their antecedent indefinites, or descriptively and go proxy for the description recoverable from its antecedent clause. I show how this view can be implemented within a dynamic semantics, and how it can account for various examples that seemed to be problematic for the view that for all unbound pronouns there always should be a notion of exhaustivity/uniqueness involved. The uniqueness assumption for the use of singular pronouns is also shown to be importantto explain what the discourse referents used in dynamic semantics represent.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explore global leadership and global mind-set from the perspective of mindfulness and highlight the importance of mindfulness in developing a global mindset and, thereby, acquiring global leadership competencies.
Abstract: In this article, we attempt to explore global leadership and global mind-set from the perspective of mindfulness. Through a synthesis of the literature on mindfulness and scholarship on global mind-set and global leadership, this article explicates the importance of mindfulness in developing a global mind-set and, thereby, acquiring global leadership competencies. Taking a task-analytic approach to global leadership, we attempt to elaborate on how mindfulness can act as an important antecedent for global mind-set and hence for global leadership. Implications for future research and managerial practice are highlighted. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
