TL;DR: In this paper, a general scheme for constructing symmetric and/or antisymmetric compactly supported orthonormal multi-scaling functions and multi-wavelets is introduced, where the main emphasis is on maximum order of polynomial-reproduction by the scaling functions, or equivalently maximum number of vanishing moments for the corresponding wavelets.

TL;DR: In this article, the d= 10, N = 1 Yang-Mills system is coupled to supergravity in a locally scale-invariant way, and an analysis of the currents agrees with the Noether coupling results and reveals the existence of two ordinary axial and more low-dimension auxiliary fields.
Abstract: The d= 10, N = 1 Yang-Mills system is coupled to d= 10, N = 1 supergravity in a locally scale-invariant way. An analysis of the currents agrees with the Noether coupling results and reveals the existence of two ordinary axial and more low-dimension auxiliary fields. The coupling of the photon A~, to antisymmetric tensors A~,~ is consistent because the Maxwell transformation 6A~,0~,A is extended to 6A~,~ = ~A F~,.

TL;DR: In this article, the choice function of a non-empty set family that does not contain ∅ was defined, and the following theorems that belong rather to [4] or [9] were proved.
Abstract: In the beginning of this article we define the choice function of a non-empty set family that does not contain ∅ as introduced in [5, pages 88–89]. We define order of a set as a relation being reflexive, antisymmetric and transitive in the set, partially ordered set as structure non-emty set and order of the set, chains, lower and upper cone of a subset, initial segments of element and subset of partially ordered set. Some theorems that belong rather to [4] or [9] are proved.

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that there exists at least one mode of oscillation, antisymmetric about the centreline, that corresponds to a local oscillation at a particular frequency, in the absence of excitation, which decays with distance down the waveguide away from the obstruction.
Abstract: A two-dimensional acoustic waveguide of infinite extent described by two parallel lines contains an obstruction of fairly general shape which is symmetric about the centreline of the waveguide. It is proved that there exists at least one mode of oscillation, antisymmetric about the centreline, that corresponds to a local oscillation at a particular frequency, in the absence of excitation, which decays with distance down the waveguide away from the obstruction. Mathematically, this trapped mode is related to an eigenvalue of the Laplace operator in the waveguide. The proof makes use of an extension of the idea of the Rayleight quotient to characterize the lowest eigenvalue of a differential operator on an infinite domain.

TL;DR: In this paper, an analytical formulation and solutions to the static analysis of simply supported composite and sandwich plates based on a higher-order refined theory developed by the first author and already reported in the literature are presented.
