TL;DR: In this article, a secure application directory within a contactless smart card is described. But the directory is not stored in the card itself, it is stored with an access key and a listing of a second set of applications within the same directory.
Abstract: This disclosure relates to storing a secure application directory within a contactless smart card. The contactless smart card include secure memory area for storing software applications and may include a default application directory for listing the software applications stored within the contactless smart card to an external card reader. A second application directory is stored with an access key and a listing of a second set of software applications within the same contactless smart card. The second application directory includes improved application directory entries, where each application directory entry includes an application identifier, a starting memory block byte value, and a size byte value for each of the second set of software applications.

TL;DR: In this paper, an application management method consisting of performing initialization by an Agent according to an instruction and a configuration file sent by a management server is described. And the method is capable of lowering the difficulty in middleware management and application system configuration deployment.
Abstract: The invention discloses an application management method. The method comprises the steps of performing initialization by an Agent according to an instruction and a configuration file sent by a management server; receiving a middleware configuration instruction sent by the management server, downloading an expansion plug-in from the management server and installing the plug-in into corresponding middleware; receiving a deployment instruction sent by the management server, updating an application directory according to the deployment instruction, downloading updated program set file and configuration file from the management server, and storing the updated program set file and configuration file into a corresponding updated application directory; and monitoring an expansion plug-in output directory and application running data. The method is capable of lowering the difficulty in middleware management and application system configuration deployment. The invention furthermore discloses an application management apparatus and system.

TL;DR: In this paper, a proxy access module includes a social network application, a business registration engine, application directory engine, an access request engine and a graphical user interface engine, which is used to integrate business tools in a social networking environment.
Abstract: A system and method for integrating business tools in a social networking environment. A proxy access module includes a social network application, a business registration engine, an application directory engine, an access request engine and a graphical user interface engine. The social network application receives input from a user for sharing the business tool with other members of a social network. The business registration engine receives and processes registration information for allowing access to a business tool. The application directory engine determines whether the user has permission to access the business tool. The access request engine receives and processes a request for accessing a business tool via a social network. The graphical user interface engine generates graphical data for displaying a business tool.

TL;DR: In this paper, a data transmission system comprising a data carrier, e.g., a smart card, with at least one executable application that is stored in the memory of the data carrier and a method for operating the system is presented.
Abstract: The invention relates to a data transmission system comprising a data carrier, e.g. a smart card, with at least one executable application that is stored in the memory of a data carrier and to a method for operating said data transmission system. According to said method: an application directory is stored in the memory; said application directory comprises an attribute for identifying an application area of the data carrier and a logical application number that is assigned to an executable application and that is unequivocally specified by the attribute; the logical application number is used as an index within the application directory and the read/write device stores the attribute and the logical application number of the application. To execute the application, said read/write device uses the logical application number in the application directory for indexing purposes and retrieves a start address of a sector of the memory, in which the executable application is stored.
