TL;DR: In this article, the effects of the atomic coherence on the transmission probability of a two-mode mazer injected with V-type three-level atoms were examined. But the authors focused on the effect of the coherence parameter and the relative coupling strength of the two transition channels.
Abstract: The transmission probability of the two-mode mazer injected with V-type three-level atoms is studied and the effects of the atomic coherence on it are examined It is shown that the atomic coherence can affect the transmission probability In the plots of the atomic transmission probability versus the dimensionless centre-of-mass momentum, there are resonance peaks and non-resonance platforms The heights of these resonance peaks and non-resonance platforms can be adjusted by the atomic coherence parameter and by the relative coupling strength of the two transition channels

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the laser intensity dependence of CPT line-widths in the wide range of the laser transverse beam with respect to the transverse intensity of the excitation laser.
Abstract: This work is concerned with the line pro“les, amplitudes and widths of the coherent population trapping (CPT)resonances due to low frequency Zeeman coherences, in the Hanle con“guration, applied to 87 Rb atoms in thevacuum cell. Detailed calculations of the ”uorescence were done with two dierent transverse intensity pro“lesof the excitation laser tuned to the open F g =2 F e = 1 transition. Compariso n with experiment producesgood agreement for the laser intensity dependence of CPT line-widths in the wide range of the laser intensity, when the laser transverse beam pro“le is Gaussian. Results for both step-like and Gaussian pro“le of the laserbeam show asymptotic 1/d dependence (d is the laser beam diameter) of CPT line-widths, for large range ofthe laser intensity. 1. INTRODUCTION Coherent population trapping (CPT) is a phenomenon based on atomic coherence, when two quantum pathwaysinteraction in the atomic system, a single-photon transition (connecting ground and an excited state) andtwo-photon transition (connecting two ground states), interfere destructively.

TL;DR: In this paper, the phase difference between the two arms of the interferometer is used to tune the interference from constructive to destructive by tuning the relative phase between the arms of two arms.
Abstract: We demonstrate laser interferometry based on phase difference between the two arms of the interferometer. The experiments are done with a Cs atomic vapor cell at room temperature and use atomic coherence. The interference can be tuned from constructive to destructive by tuning the relative phase between the two arms. It is similar to the Michelson interferometer, but differs in the important aspect of allowing interference when the polarizations in the two arms are orthogonal. This would be a novel method for interfering two independent lasers, which even can allow interfering two independent lasers of completely different wavelengths---such as of UV and IR---and also possibly phase lock them.

TL;DR: In this article, a diagrammatic representation of the steady-state solution for the density matrix of a multilevel atom under the action of coherent classical fields is presented, which provides an intuitive interpretation of the terms corresponding to quantum interference and dynamical Stark splitting in the equations describing the effects of atomic coherence, such as lasing without inversion, electromagnetically induced transparency and ultra large index of refraction.
