TL;DR: In this article, a multi-microphone active noise cancellation (MMANC) functionality is used to remove background noise from audio information picked up on microphones of the mobile audio device.
Abstract: A mobile audio device (for example, a cellular telephone, personal digital audio player, or MP3 player) performs Audio Dynamic Range Control (ADRC) and Automatic Volume Control (AVC) to increase the volume of sound emitted from a speaker of the mobile audio device so that faint passages of the audio will be more audible. This amplification of faint passages occurs without overly amplifying other louder passages, and without substantial distortion due to clipping. Multi-Microphone Active Noise Cancellation (MMANC) functionality is, for example, used to remove background noise from audio information picked up on microphones of the mobile audio device. The noise-canceled audio may then be communicated from the device. The MMANC functionality generates a noise reference signal as an intermediate signal. The intermediate signal is conditioned and then used as a reference by the AVC process. The gain applied during the AVC process is a function of the noise reference signal.

TL;DR: In this article, an exemplary method of controlling a display device includes receiving an executable file and/or code via a network interface, receiving video data via a serial digital interface, executing the executable file or code on a runtime engine, processing the video data based at least in part on the executing to produce processed video data and displaying the processed data.
Abstract: Methods, devices, systems and/or storage media for video and/or audio processing. An exemplary method of controlling a display device includes receiving an executable file and/or code via a network interface, receiving video data via a serial digital interface, executing the executable file and/or code on a runtime engine, processing the video data based at least in part on the executing to produce processed video data and displaying the processed video data. Other exemplary technologies are also disclosed.

TL;DR: In this paper, an equalizer for an audio reproduction system in which equalization is achieved using a discrete time filter is presented. But, it is not shown how to use a microprocessor for generating and storing the filter coefficients in accordance with a perceived acoustic test signal reproduced by the system.
Abstract: This disclosure concerns an equalizer for an audio reproduction system in which equalization is achieved using a discrete time filter. The filter is preferably implemented with a microprocessor programmed for generating and storing the filter coefficients in accordance with a perceived acoustic test signal reproduced by the system. Following generation and storage of the coefficients, the microprocessor also serves to equalize an input audio signal by convolving the stored coefficients with digitized time samples of the audio input signal.

TL;DR: In this paper, a system for providing an audio processing interface at a mobile device configured to detect an audio processor, present, via a user interface, a display screen to receive user input to initiate audio testing, iteratively present a series of testing screens, each including at least one instruction and test status.
Abstract: A system for providing an audio processing interface at a mobile device configured to detect an audio processor, present, via a user interface, a display screen to receive user input to initiate audio testing, iteratively present a series of testing screens, each including at least one instruction and test status, and present another instruction and test status in response to receiving and indicative of a successful sample at a previous microphone location.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a system for the transmission of a broadcast satellite channel signal consisting of base-band video signals and a sub-channel digital audio signals modulated on sub-carriers.
Abstract: A CATV (cable television) signal transmitting system for use with a broadcast satellite system includes a receiving stage for receiving a broadcast satellite station signal consisting of base-band video signals and a sub-channel digital audio signals PSK (phase shift keying)-modulated on sub-carriers, demodulators for deriving the video signals and digital audio signals, first modulators for modulating the main carriers of a plurality of CATV channels by the video signals, a second modulator for modulating the main carrier of a different channel by the digital audio signals in time-division manner. The mixed output signal from the first and second modulators is transmitted through a CATV transmission line. A CATV signal receiving system is also provided to produce video signals and digital audio signals which are converted into a plurality of channels of analog audio signals.
