TL;DR: In this article, a video/audio recorder/reproducer comprising a section (100) for inputting main video and audio information, a section(110) for audio information (voice memo) being added to the main information and a control section (120) for controlling the operation of each section.
Abstract: A video/audio recorder/reproducer comprising a section (100) for inputting main video/audio information, a section (110) for inputting audio information (voice memo) being added to the main information, a section (140) for recording/reproducing video/audio data, a medium (150) for recording video/audio data, and a section (120) for controlling the operation of each section. The control section (120) records the audio adding information on the recording medium (150) in association with a specified frame position in the main information. The specified frame position is specified by a time code, offset (number of frames from the head of the main information), and the like.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a data processing system and method that uses RTSP and associated protocols to support voice applications and audio processing by various, distributed, speech processing engines.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a data processing system and method and, more particularly, to a computer aided telephony system and method which uses RTSP and associated protocols to support voice applications and audio processing by various, distributed, speech processing engines. Since RTSP is used to distribute the tasks to be performed by the speech processing engines, a distributed and scalable system can be realised. Furthermore, the integration of third party speech processing engines is greatly simplified due to the RTSP or HTTP interface to those engines.

TL;DR: In this paper, an improved pulse oximeter includes audio signal generation means, controlled by algorithms in a processing element which continuously transform the signals from the sensor into signal quality information, which is converted into an audio signal and annunciated for the operator's use in guiding sensor placement.
Abstract: An improved pulse oximeter is disclosed. The pulse oximeter includes audio signal generation means, controlled by algorithms in a processing element which continuously transform the signals from the sensor into signal quality information. This information is converted into an audio signal and annunciated for the operator's use in guiding sensor placement. This signal quality information is available even in the absence of successful computation of pulse rate and/or oxygen saturation level. It furthermore can reflect signal quality changes that may be too subtle to be reflected in the typical numerical representation of pulse rate and oxygen saturation trend. The audio representation of the signal quality can further be modulated to convey other system and/or physiological status and alerts.

TL;DR: In this article, a coding process and a coder for inserting an inaudible data signal into an audio signal, the audio signal is first converted into a spectrum range and the masking threshold of the audio signals is determined.
Abstract: In a coding process and a coder for inserting an inaudible data signal into an audio signal, the audio signal is first converted into a spectrum range and the masking threshold of the audio signal is determined. A pseudo-noise signal and a data signal are prepared and multiplied together to provide a frequency-spread data signal. The spread data signal is weighted by the masking threshold and then the audio signal and the weighted data signal are superimposed. In a process and a decoder for decoding an inaudible data signal inserted into an audio signal, first of all the audio signal is sampled and then the scanned audio signal is non-recursively filtered. Thereupon the filtered audio signal is compared with a threshold in order to re-obtain the data signal.

TL;DR: In this paper, techniques are described for grouping audio objects into clusters, where the cluster analysis module is configured to receive information from at least one of a transmission channel, a decoder, and a renderer, and wherein a maximum value for L is based on the information received.
Abstract: In general, techniques are described for grouping audio objects into clusters. In some examples, a device for audio signal processing comprises a cluster analysis module configured to group, based on spatial information for each of N audio objects, a plurality of audio objects that includes the N audio objects into L clusters, where L is less than N, wherein the cluster analysis module is configured to receive information from at least one of a transmission channel, a decoder, and a renderer, and wherein a maximum value for L is based on the information received. The device also comprises a downmix module configured to mix the plurality of audio objects into L audio streams, and a metadata downmix module configured to produce, based on the spatial information and the grouping, metadata that indicates spatial information for each of the L audio streams.
