TL;DR: A new module within GSAS-II, GSASIIscriptable, is described, which provides access to the GS AS-II data structures and an extensible mechanism to run a significant fraction of GSAS -II functionality, particularly for powder diffraction applications, from within Python scripts or directly from commands in a shell/batch script.
Abstract: The GSAS-II suite is a complete crystallographic analysis package for all types of X-ray and neutron diffraction data, suited for fitting models ranging from simple materials to proteins, and designed around an integrated graphical user interface. This article describes a new module within GSAS-II, GSASIIscriptable, which provides access to the GSAS-II data structures and an extensible mechanism to run a significant fraction of GSAS-II functionality, particularly for powder diffraction applications, from within Python scripts or directly from commands in a shell/batch script. This allows parallelization in a high-performance computing environment; near ideal speedup is seen with up to 240 simultaneous processes.

TL;DR: A working framework for Automatic Tuning of DBMS is designed by using the Basic Utilities of Operating System to collect the statistics of SGA dynamic Parameters and give suggestions fordiagnose the problem.
Abstract: In present scenario the manual work (Done by Human) cost more to an organization than the automatic work ( Done by Machine)and the ratio is increasing day by day as per the tremendous increment in Machine (Hardware + Software) Intelligence. We are moving towards the world where the Machines will be able to perform better than today by their own intelligence. They will adjust themselves as per the customer’s performance need. But to make this dream true, lots of human efforts (Theoretical and Practical) are needed to increase the capability of Machines to take their own decision and make the future free from manual work and reduce the working cost. Our life is covered with the different types of systems working around. The information system is one of them. All businesses are having the base by this system. So there is the most preference job of the IT researcher to make the Information system self-Manageable. The Development of well-established frameworks are needed to made them Auto-tuned is the basic need of the current business. The DBMS vendors are also providing the Auto-Tune packages with their DBMS Application. But they charge for these Auto-Tune packages. This extra cost of packages can be eliminated by using some basic Operating system utilities (e.g. VB Script, Task Scheduler, Batch Files, and Graphical Utility etc.). We have designed a working framework for Automatic Tuning of DBMS by using the Basic Utilities of Operating System (e.g. Windows) .These utilities will collect the statistics of SGA dynamic Parameters. The Framework will automatically analyze these SGA Parameter statistics and give suggestions fordiagnose the problem. In this paper we have presented that framework with practical Implementation.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for defining a window of time in which a batch will run by entering a batch identifier into a batch table, the batch identifier specifying a primary key of the batch table and is configured as a foreign key to a batch schedule table.
Abstract: Methods, system, and computer program products for managing batch operations are provided. A method includes defining a window of time in which a batch will run by entering a batch identifier into a batch table, the batch identifier specifying a primary key of the batch table and is configured as a foreign key to a batch schedule table. The time is entered into the batch schedule table. The method further includes entering extract-transform-load (ETL) information into the batch table. The ETL information includes a workflow identifier, a parameter file identifier, and a location in which the workflow resides. The method includes retrieving the workflow from memory via the workflow identifier and location, retrieving the parameter file, and processing the batch, according to the process, workflow, and parameter file.

TL;DR: In this paper, a process for executing batch files and application programs by storing the batch files together as modules inside a parent file, such that each module may be extracted from the parent and executed independently of any other module according to its type.
Abstract: A process for executing batch files and application programs by storing the batch files and information about the application programs together as modules inside a parent file, such that each module may be extracted from the parent and executed independently of any other module according to its type. Access to the module is through a menu which provides for each module the name of the module and optionally a phrase descriptive of the module. Batch modules may be relocated to RAM disks for faster execution. When running a batch module, the process of this invention cedes all its memory to the batch module. Program information modules are checked to determine if they provide a program specification or a path specification: if program specification, the program is executed; if path specification, executable files from the specified directory are retrieved and displayed for execution as desired.
