Abstract: The burner assembly consists of a cylinder which houses the burners at one end and which opens into a bell mouth at the other. The bell mouth being the discharge end of the burning fuel. The combustion air is allowed to pass down the outside of the cylindrical housing, where it becomes preheated. The central burner takes its fuel from the feed pipe (46). The atomiser (44) is fitted with an air jet operated sprayer which rotates inside the atomiser causing the fuel to rotate with it, thus accelerating the atomisation. Additional air or fuel may be brought in through auxiliary supplies. The burner may be used for fuels which normally do not but efficiently.
