Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve an air blowing performance and a heat exchanging capability by a method wherein a front part of each of rows of concentric arrangement of an aeration grill is inclined rightward or leftward or in a vertical direction with its central part spaced apart and then a slant surface of both lateral ends or both vertical ends is coincided with a slant surface of a bell-mouth at its outlet side. CONSTITUTION:An air flow passing from an air inlet of an axial flow fan 6 toward its outlet advances outwardly along a circumferential surface of a hub 11 of the axial flow fan 6. The air flow after passing the axial flow fan 6 is directed lateral slant or vertical slant direction under an action of the bell mouth having a slant surface 8a at its outlet port and an aeration grill 9 having rows 9a inclined laterally or vertically. Accordingly, it is possible to release the blowing air flow toward a far position. Due to this fact, a wall surface of an adjoining house is not stained with the blown air flow even if a narrow clearance is left against the adjoining house and the blown air flow is not splashed toward the outdoor device. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to improve an air blowing performance and a heat exchanging capability.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make air capacity comparatively large in a large air capacity range, to make static pressure large in a small air capacity range and to make a characteristic curve concave dropping to the right without lowering efficiency. CONSTITUTION:On the inside of a casing 1, a bell mouth 2 having a curvature 2a the inside of which is smooth in the discharge direction is arranged. On the inside of the bell mouth 2, an impeller 3 is arranged, and air is blasted in the air blasting direction A. The bell mouth 2 is held free to slide in the axial direction against the casing 1 and energized in the discharge direction by springs 6a, 6b. As the bell mouth 2 is positioned in the discharge direction at low static pressure, it intakes air even from an outer diameter of a vane, and as its intake area is large, air capacity becomes large. Thereafter, when it is pushed by high static pressure P and comes to a position in the intake direction as a dashed line bell mouth 2h, without causing circulation of gas by centrifugal force on the intake side of the outer diameter of the vane, the centrigal force works to increase static pressure toward the discharge side.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a trouble due to temperature rise by providing a valve for automatically discharging water when a lifting liquid is accumulated in a discharge pipe due to lowering of water level and it enters holding operation. CONSTITUTION:An all water level and full speed operating pump is so constructed that a bell mouth 1 having an opening at the lower side thereof is fitted to the lower end of a discharge pipe 5, an impeller 2 rotated by a main shaft 3 is provided on the upper part of the bell mouth 1, and an intake pipe 6 is connected to the side wall of the bell mouth 1 right under the impeller 2. A drain pipe 7 is installed on the side wall of the bell mouth 1 above the impeller 2, and a valve 8 made of a shape memory alloy, which is closed at the normal temperature and opened when the temperature rises above the normal temperature, is disposed in the drain pipe 7.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce noise at the time of launching and to prevent burning damage to a side plate, etc., due to injection gas by providing a bell mouth opened in a forward direction t the front end of a missile launching cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A missile launching cylinder 1 has a cylinder 2 formed of side plates 2, a support for a missile 3 disposed in the cylinder 2, an igniter, and launching guide rails of the missile 3, etc. An opening 7 having a switching door is provided at the front end of the cylinder 2, and an injection gas 6 discharging opening is provided at the rear end. A bell mouth 9 opened in the forward direction is fixed to the opening 7. The mouth 9 is mounted to increase the quantity of the air flowing from the exterior into the cylinder 2, cooling of the gas 6 is expedited to prevent the burning damage of the plate 2 and to reduce noise level. Further, a sound absorber 10 is attached to the inner surface of the plate 2, or a gap is provided between the inner surface of the plate 2 and the outer surface of the missile 3, and a partition plate 12 having an air flow passage 13 may be provided.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To achieve the operation of a blower in high efficiency and low noise by positioning the input tip of a propeller fan and the opening point of a bell mouth on the same line. CONSTITUTION: A blower comprises a propeller fan(PF) which is rotated by a motor 30, a bell mouth 20 surrounding the PF 10 and a bracket 40 supporting the motor 30 fixed to the bell mouth 20. At this point, the fan rotation and the air-streaming operation noises of the PF 10 are generated in the blower. Therefore, the design factor of the bell mouth 20, together with the design factor of the PF 10 becomes important for determining the performance and the noise in the blower. The noise level and the performance of the blower caused by these changes are measured, and the blower is formed as follows. The inner diameter of the bell mouth is formed at 1.5±0.02 times the outer diameter of the PF 10. Furthermore, the width of the bell mouth 20 is formed at 0.468±0.068 times the width of the PF 10. Then, the curvature of the bell mouth 20 is formed at 0.032±0.014 times the outer diameter of the PF 10.

SUBSTANCE: separator has housing 1, steam-and-water mixture supply branch pipe with guide chamber 12, feed water supply branch pipe 3 with distributor 7 which are located above medium interface 6 under upper edge of taper bell mouth 8 between its outer surface and housing 1. Bell mouth 8 is closed from beneath and is provided in its narrow portion with Venturi nozzle 9 whose inlet portion is directed to medium interface 6. Located above bell mouth 8 is grid 10, entrainment trap 11 and steam discharge branch pipe 5; lower portion of bell mouth 8 intended for water accumulation is brought in communication with space above medium interface 6 by means of drain branch pipe 13. Water free of overheating and gases is discharged from housing 1 via branch pipe 4. EFFECT: reduction of corrosivity of water through increased depth of deaeration. 1 dwg
