Abstract: A ventilator in a duplex structure is provided to increase ventilating capacity and reduce noise by coupling both of an axial fan and a centrifugal fan in a single ventilation system. A ventilator in a duplex structure includes a front cover(52) mounted with a streamline type first guide vane(51) in a bell mouth shape. An axial fan(10), a centrifugal fan(20) and a motor are coaxially arranged in sequence behind the front cover. The axial fan is mounted toward a room space to inhale room air. The centrifugal fan discharges the air inhaled by the axial fan to the outside at a high speed and simultaneously promotes the air suction of the axial fan to increase an amount of suction air, wherein the axial fan and the centrifugal fan rotate in the same direction by the motor. A second guide vane(22) in the shape of bell is mounted behind the motor for introducing the room air in the center and discharging the air circumferentially increased air suction and smooth air discharge. A housing is coupled with the front cover and receives all the above parts. The housing is formed with a spiral air guide path(40) integrating an outlet(56).

Abstract: In large pump station, vortex generation such as free-surface vortex and submerged vortex occurring around pump intake, or at bell-mouth inlet has been an important flow characteristics which should be considered always to keep away the suction of air-entrained or cavitated flow. In this study, a commercial CFD code was used to predict accurately the vortex generation for the specified intake design. These result shows the preliminary result of submerged vortex prediction for the Turbo-machinery Society of Japan Sump Test CFD standard model. At bottom wall, air volume fraction (red color) was found in a large scale to explain the submerged vortex generation at particular operation and configuration condition. And these indicate the free surface formation behind the bell mouth. Particularly, non-uniform approaching flow is a major parameter to govern the occurrence of the free-surface vortex. Futhermore the comparison between turbulence ( & model) mode were executed in this study.

Abstract: This invention relates to an amnibearing wind-collecting cover device composed of four bell mouths collecting wind energy at water level, a central shaft and a semispherical wind wheel and a shift driver, in which the four bell mouths are face to face in pairs towards all directions to form an inlet and an outlet connected at the central shaft, the inlet of bell mouth 3 is facing to the semispherical wheel, the shift driver is connected with the central shaft at a base, in which the bell mouths can collect wind energy in all directions to rotate the semispherical wheel, the diameter of which is small, vibration is less and operation is stable, the wind cover can increase power of wind generators by enlarging diameter of bell mouths to increase collection area, and can be made to a tower or a wall for placing all devices, especially suitable for mountain areas.

The technical proposal: a square outlet air hole is arranged in the middle of the sealing board of the bell mouth, and the boarding which is changed into square passage is arranged at the bottom of the sealing board. In addition, a square passage is connected with the outlet air hole. The utility model overcomes the shortcomings in prior art, such as the asymmetric heating, high cost and low welding quality, and provides a square hot gas welding tip with simple structure, low cost, symmetrical heating, and perfect welding effect.

The thickener has the advantages of simple structure, no drive mechanism, high efficiency of thickening area and low running cost with concentration of the first section thickening underflow being more than 60 percent.

A length from a rear end to an front end of an outer edge of the blade is shorter than a length from a rear end to an front end of an inner edge of the blade, and a bell mouth is configured such that distance between a tip part of the inner edge of the blade and an inner wall of the scroll casing is the minimum at an inner tip part P of the bell mouth of the air inlet.

A shroud structure of a turbo-fan blowing cool air in a refrigerator is to surround the turbo-fan in a space between a casing(100) and a grill(110), and includes an opened center part(310) for inhaling chilled air, a bell mouth(310') formed in the end of the center part, an inclination part(330) inclined toward the grill(110), which forms a cooling space, from an end of the bell mouth, and a flat part(320) integrally extended from the inclination part with a predetermined distance from the grill part. A height(C) of the inclination part with respect to an interval(A) between the shroud and the grill is 20-30%, a width(D) of the inclination part with respect to the interval is 50-150%, and an interval(B) between the shroud and the casing with respect to the interval is 90-110%.

Abstract: Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS) equation is applied for the simulation of 3D flow field in a new tank-style outlet passage of large pumping stations.The standard k-e turbulence model and SIMPLEC algorithm is adopted in the calculation.The inner flow status and various types of vortices are predicted in the new tank-style outlet passage about five different heights of discharge bell,a scheme without horn tube,four different distances from the center of discharge bell to back-wall and three types of back-wall.The laws of velocity distribution are analyzed on the cross profile,the bell mouth and the columnar face of outlet passage.Comparing with the test results,the friction coefficient about various schemes are obtained by Numerical calculation.Optimum design method in the new tank-style outlet passage is put forward.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bell-mouth for an air blower and a range hood furnished with the air blower, improved so that the noise value in association with the influx resistance generated at the suction port of a casing can be lowered without dropping the exhausting ability of a fan. SOLUTION: A ring-shaped swellout part 13 curved downward is formed in the circumferential part of the bell-mouth 12 mating with the downward-facing suction port 11 in the casing of the air blower 1 of horizontal installation type. The downward swelling shape of this swellout part 13 is formed in such a taper as inclined toward the inclination bottom part 20 so that the side with the circumferential part P1 intersecting the straight line L passing the axis P viewed on the plan becomes the inclination bottom 20 on the circumference of the bell-mouth 12, and thereby it is possible to lower effectively the noise value dB (A) associated with the influx resistance of the waste gas. An outdoor unit for a large-sized air conditioner comprises more than two bell mouths(35,45), a blower fan(30,40), and a partition wall for a flow guide(50). The bell mouths are indented on an upper surface(5) of a body unit(10). The blower fan is provided with the same numbers as the bell mouths and installed in the center of each bell mouth. The partition wall is downwardly extended in a predetermined height, from the position between the bell mouths adjacent the upper surface of the body unit to divide an upper section of internal space. Each width of the bell mouth is larger than a vertical width of each blower fan.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial-flow fluid machine which suppresses separation of a fluid flow in a front edge or an outer peripheral part of a blade of an axial-flow impeller by making appropriate drift at the front edge and in the vicinity of the outer periphery of the blade and shapes of the front edge and outer peripheral part of the blade, and prevents decline in efficiency and static pressure increase, vibration and noise. SOLUTION: In the axial-flow fluid machine, the axial-flow impeller 10 is arranged inside a casing 22. When an intersection point A of a boss 11 and an upstream side edge of the blade 12 is defined as a starting point and an intersection point B of a vertical face extended from an inflection point 23 of a suction bell mouth 21 to the radial direction and the outer periphery of the blade 12 as a terminal point, an edge smoothly connecting the starting point (intersection point A) and the terminal point (intersection point B) by a free-form curve is defined as the front edge 13 of the blade 12. The shape of the front edge 13 is determined so as to be suitable for an inflow situation of fluid flowed from outside into the suction bell mouth 21, and in the downstream side from the terminal point (intersection point B), a wall face of the casing 22 is set to be approximately parallel with the outer periphery of the impeller 10.
