TL;DR: In this article, a comprehensive theoretical and experimental study of the Bell mounting in precision hole machining with self-piloting tools is carried out and the main concern of the theoretical part is the mechanism of the bell mouth formation.
Abstract: The bell mouth is the tapered hole entrance and it is unavoidable disadvantage of the machining with self-piloting tools. A comprehensive theoretical and experimental study of bell mounting in precision hole machining with self-piloting tools is carried out. The prime concern of the theoretical part is the mechanism of the bell mouth formation. The main factors affecting bell mouth have been revealed by analyzing mechanics of tool entrancing into the workpiece. Three working methods with self-piloting tools are considered and the recommendations made relevant to the tool and machine tool design. Experimental part of the study involved Boring and Trepanning Association self-piloting drilling on special designed deep-hole drilling machine. The main objective of this part was to obtain the quantitative relationships between the bell mouth parameters and the cutting regime. The technique of the statistical design of experiments along with a special procedure for the data acquisition and analysis provided to cover the whole range of the process parameters and to get the mathematical model accounted the parameters interaction.

Abstract: The rear side outer peripheral edge of a propeller fan rotated and driven by a motor, of a propeller fan drive unit, is surrounded by a bell mouth. An upper plate, a lower plate, a side plate, and a machine room plate constitute an air duct at the suction side, outside the radial direction of the propeller fan. The cross-section of the bell mouth, at a first position in the vicinity where a blade of the propeller fan is closest, and where the distance between the propeller fan and the plate constituting the air duct outside the radial direction is relatively narrow, is made to be such that an expansion angle θ 1 of the bell mouth suction side is made small. The overlapped height Hb of the propeller fan and the bell mouth is made large against a cross-section at a second position where the distance between the propeller fan and a plate is relatively large. The shape of the cross-section of the bell mouth is made to change gradually between the first position and the second position.

Abstract: The invention relates to an aorta valve bracket with an anchoring foot, consisting of three parts: a dual-horn-shaped bracket (1), a valve (2) which is arranged inside the dual-horn-shaped bracket (2) and an anchoring foot (3); the dual-horn-shaped bracket (1) is divided into a near-core-end large bell mouth (11), a middle waist (12) and a far-core-end small bell mouth (13); the diameter of the waist (12) is less than that of the near-core-end large bell mouth (11) and the far-core-end small bell mouth (13); the valve (2) is oversewed between the far-core-end small bell mouth (13) and the middle waist (12); the anchoring foot (3) consists of a plurality of extended Ni-Ti wires (31) in inverted-shape and is arranged on the near-core-end large bell mouth (11). After the bracket of the invention is embedded, as the near-core-end anchoring foot exists, the displacement of the bracket generated by the blood flowing forwards is avoided, meanwhile, the mesh of the near-core-end is sparse, the opening of the coronary artery is not blocked; the mesh of the far-core-end is dense, thus providing powerful supporting force, effectively reducing the valve leakage and greatly improving the safety coefficient.

Abstract: Provided is a blower, in which even if there is a non-uniformity due to the circumferential position of a suction side-air passage around a rotary shaft, the disturbance of the flowing-in air stream is reduced, thereby reducing noise. The blower comprises a blade (1) having an outer peripheral edge (1c) with a camber recessed in the rotating direction and a bell mouth (5) covering the blowout side-outer periphery of the blade. The blade side surface of the bell mouth comprises a first upstream side enlarged part (5c) so formed as to extend from the minimum inner diameter position (Pb3) to the upstream side and to project in the upstream direction of the rotary shaft, and a second upstream side enlarged part (5d) so formed as to further extend from the first enlarged part to the upstream side and to be recessed in the upstream direction of the rotary shaft.

Abstract: The utility model relates to an automatic adjusting exhaust emission device for a railway vehicle, which is provided with a flared outer cover and a flared inner cover, wherein the inner cover is fixedly arranged in the outer cover, bell mouths of the inner cover and the outer cover are homodromous, and the caliber of the bell mouth of the outer cover is larger than the caliber of the bell mouth of the inner cover; the bell mouth of the inner cover is used as an air inlet, and an air outlet and an adjusting damper are arranged on the cover wall of the inner cover; the upper end of the adjusting damper is hinged on the cover wall of the inner cover, and the adjusting damper is buckled on the air outlet of the cover wall of the inner cover due to the action of the self weight in a natural state so as to close the air outlet; an exhaust cavity is formed between the cover walls of the inner cover and the outer cover, and an exhaust outlet is formed in a region between the edge of the bell mouth of the outer cover and the edge of the bell mouth of the inner cover. The bell mouth design method of the present invention has an initial shape setting step (Step 1) for setting the initial shape of the bell mouth 4; a three-dimensional model creation step (Step 2) for creating the three-dimensional model of the bell mouth 4 and other parts on a computer; a preliminary shape modification step (Step 3) for modifying the outer peripheral shape of the three-dimensional model of the bell mouth 4 so as to be rotatable when the anchor 3 contacts the initial shape of the bell mouth 4; a mechanical analysis step (Step 4) for performing a mechanical analysis of the condition of the anchor 3 being housed using the three-dimensional model of the bell mouth 4 and other parts on a computer; a determination step (Step 5) for checking whether the results of the mechanical analysis satisfy predetermined conditions; and a shape modification step (Step 6) for modifying three-dimensional model of the bell mouth 4 on the computer on the basis of results of the mechanical analysis

The concrete reinforced pipe consists of a bell mouth, a faucet and a pipe; the bell mouth and the faucet are coaxially and fixedly arranged in a pipe core at the two ends of the pipe; wherein, an inner wall of the concrete reinforced pipe bell is coaxially and fixedly provided with an inner ring bulge platform along the radial direction; an outer wall of the concrete reinforced pipe bell is coaxially and fixedly provided with an outer ring bulge platform along the radial direction. The invention has the advantages of simple integral structure, scientific and reasonable design, low construction cost and simple technique; the bulge platform can increase the sealing property between concrete reinforced pipes and raise the integral sealing level of concrete reinforced pipes.

Abstract: A connector for artificial respiration comprises a hollow duct having an arc-shaped sealing at the lower end, an air outlet formed on the side surface of the duct above the sealing, a convex ring arranged on the outer wall of the duct above the air outlet, and a rubber cap sheathed on the outer wall of the duct, wherein the periphery of a middle hole of the rubber cap is clamped in the groove below the convex ring of the duct, and the rear end of the duct has a bell mouth. When in use, the lower end of the duct is inserted into the mouth of a rescuee, the peripheries of the rubber cap and the mouth of the rescuee are sealed, the lips of a rescuer are aligned to the bell mouth, and the rescuer blows air to carry out artificial respiration, thereby isolating the lips of the rescuer and the rescuee to prevent cross infection of bacteria and viruses and keeping sanitation.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air blower capable reducing the noise without causing the deterioration of air blowing performance and an air conditioner using the same. SOLUTION: The air blower is equipped with a deviation means 10 for deviating a leakage flow A1 flowing into a front edge 4a of a vane through the clearance 11 with a bell mouth 8 near the rear edge 4b of the vane at the upstream edge part of a shroud. According to such constitution, the leakage flow A1 is deviated toward the rear edge 4b of the vane by the deviation means 10, a flow area in a part of the vane 4 becomes a local area at the rear edge 4b side of the vane and near the shroud 3, as a result, the interference of the leakage flow A1 with a main stream flow A2 is prevented as much as possible, and turbulence of the air flow is reduced. Therefore, air blowing sound is effectively reduced and a silent operation of the air blower is obtained. The leakage flow A1 is not extinguished and the flowing area is shifted to the area at the rear edge 4b side of the vane 4 and near the shroud 3, therefore, the effect to enhance the air blowing performance by speeding up the flow of the mainstream flow A2 of the leakage flow A1 is kept. Abstract: The utility model relates to a noise reducing and efficiency improving mechanism of an axial-flow fan, in particular to a noise reducing and efficiency improving device of an axial-flow fan of a high-speed train air conditioning system, pertaining to the technical field of air conditioning equipment of rail transit vehicles, and is characterized in that the mechanism comprises a bell mouth which is connected with an air inlet of the axial-flow fan. By adopting the air inlet structure in which the bell mouth is arranged, the sudden contraction of air inlet can be avoided, the flow resistance loss can be reduced, the aerodynamic performance of the axial-flow fan is improved, the mechanical efficiency can be improved and the noise can be reduced; the arc radius of the bell mouth is not less than 1/5 of the air inlet diameter of the axial-flow fan, therefore the mechanical efficiency is remarkably improved along with the increasing of the bell mouth inlet arc radius; and the shell of the fan is laid with a sound absorption layer, therefore the noise can be reduced effectively.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved system for increasing output by wet compression, avoiding problems such as erosion in the root of a first stage rotor blade. SOLUTION: In this wet compression system for a gas turbine compressor, a plurality of nozzles for injecting fine liquid drops are arranged in a rear section of a bell mouth. The rear section of the bell mouth can be arranged in a downstream side half part of the bell mouth, and the nozzles can be connected to a plurality of supports including structural members respectively connecting an inner diameter casing of each bell mouth and an outer diameter casing of the bell mouth to each other. In one execution mode, the nozzles are arranged in the front edge of one or more supports, and the minimum interval at about 0.2m or more is maintained between the inner diameter casing of the bell mouth and the nozzles. In other execution mode, the nozzles are arranged in the rear edge of one or more supports, and the minimum interval at about 0.05m or more is maintained between the inner diameter casing of the bell mouth and the nozzles. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing apparatus of a bell mouth for an air blower, capable of reducing product cost by reducing a material loss and reducing an operator's burden by automating a manufacturing operation as much as possible. SOLUTION: A belt-like shape-forming material is continuously shape-formed with a roll former, which is curved circularly with a curving machine and cut by a predetermined length with a cutting machine. Then, fixed holes are opened in the cut shape-forming material with a hole opener and both free ends of the shape-forming material are caulked and joined by using the fixed holes opened.
