Abstract: An experimental investigation on the effective shape of a floor splitter to reduce sub-surface vortices and cavitation which arise in the vicinity of the pump bells in pump sump is performed. A test model sump was designed based on the Froude number similitude for the recommended structure layout by HI-9.8 standard for pump intake design. To obtain an effective shape of the splitter as an anti-vortex device (AVD), three types of quadrilateral submerged bar with different shape and dimension in sectional area are considered. From the experimental results with and without the splitter attached on the floor under the bell mouth, it was confirmed that the installation of the AVD is very effective to reduce abnormal vortices including sub-surface vortices, pre-swirls and other undesirable hydraulic phenomena. Because of the splitter, sub-surface vortices under the bell mouth did not appear anymore and the swirl was dramatically weakened. The evaluation of AVD was made by the measurement of swirl angles indicating the strength of the vortices and pre-swirls. Splitters with square sections showed partly large swirl angles beyond the acceptable criteria of HI standard though a large square was more effective than a small one. Meanwhile, the splitter with trapezoidal section was showed swirl angle values of less than 5 degrees in all cases of pump operation. Among the three types of AVD, the trapezoidal splitter is the most effective one to suppress the vortices. It is very useful to reduce the occurrence of submerged vortices and to obtain stable inflow condition for designing a high performance pump sump.

Abstract: A centrifugal blower for an air conditioner may include a centrifugal fan rotatably coupled to a motor, and a bell mouth guiding air into the centrifugal fan. The centrifugal fan may include a hub fixed to a rotary shaft of the motor, a main plate provided at an outer circumferential surface of the hub, a shroud having a suction opening surrounding the rotary shaft, the shroud positioned opposite the main plate to define a main gas flow path, and a plurality of wings arranged along the circumferential direction of the suction opening between the main plate and the shroud. A rear axial end portion of the bell mouth may be inserted into the shroud through the suction opening so as to form a predetermined radial gap with the suction opening. The rear portion of the bell mouth may include a plurality of alternately formed protruding portions and recessed portions, with the protruding portions and the recessed portions inserted into the shroud.

A bell mouth, supported by the lower shell and penetrating the lower shell, is configured for a fluid communication with the exhaust system. A loudspeaker is disposed in the enclosure and supported by the bell mouth. The lower shell of the enclosure supports the upper shell of the enclosure. The bell mouth is solely supported by the lower shell of the enclosure. The lower shell may include at least one air-tight feed-through for a control wire connected to the loudspeaker and/or at least one pressure equalizing valve. An anti-sound system is provided that includes the sound generator and a vehicle is provided with the anti-sound system.

The stator part 2F is arranged in the diffuser part 12.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring a differential pressure in an air blower, comprising: a bell mouth provided with an inlet for introducing air into the air blower; a differential pressure cover coupled to the bell mouth for transmitting an inlet pressure change through a tube; and a differential pressure measuring unit for detecting the inlet pressure change transmitted through the tube. According to the present invention, a differential pressure is measured in an intake port side of the air blower in which an air flow is most stable, while keeping the apparatus from acting as an air flow resistor so as to prevent the occurrence of turbulence, thereby allowing an accurate measurement of the differential pressure.

Abstract: The utility model relates to an improved bell mouth of a dummy pipe. The improved bell mouth comprises a cylindrical bell mouth body with one tapered end, and the tapered end of the bell mouth body is connected with a second cylinder. The improved bell mouth of the dummy pipe has the advantages that 1) the improved bell mouth is integrally ingenious in structural design, high in practicality and convenient to replace and assemble on site; 2) owing to the second cylinder which is arranged additionally, rolled workpieces can pass smoothly; since the diameter of the second cylinder is larger than that of the bell mouth body and the inner conicity of the second cylinder is identical to that of the bell mouth body, smooth transition can be guaranteed; the large diameter enables a conical opening extending outside to be larger, and accordingly the rolled workpieces can enter the bell mouth more easily during dummying; 3) the improved bell mouth is applicable to dummy pipes of high-speed wires, and when large-size products are rolled and dummying is required by some gates in a high-speed area, the dummy pipe with the improved bell mouth can be used for effectively avoiding shaking of the rolled workpieces to enable the rolled workpieces to run smoothly, and extrusion is avoided.

Abstract: The invention provides a device for prolonging the service life of a cloth bag through a leak detector. A clean gas outlet blind plate valve and an ash conveying valve are respectively arranged at an inlet and an outlet in a conical casing. A lower part at the left side of the conical casing is sequentially provided with a lower inlet hole and a compressed air valve. A central part at the right side of the conical casing is sequentially provided with an upper inlet hole and a half-clean gas inlet blind plate valve. Each cloth bag internally provided with a keel bell mouth is vertically arranged between the upper inlet hole and the lower inlet hole of the conical casing. The cloth bags internally provided with the keel bell mouths are additionally provided with the leak detector. An upper plate and a lower plate of the leak detector are provided with detection holes which are matching with the number and the mouth dimension of the cloth bags. Detection tubs fixed on the lower plate are combined with the keel bell mouths of the cloth bags. Bolts for fixing a filtering material are arranged at two ends of the upper plate and the lower plate.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for liquid degassing by means of swirling or centrifugal force coupled with a pressure gradient. This device comprises a cavity. The cavity is furnished with an inlet for liquid-gas mixture, a gas outlet and a liquid outlet. The gas outlet is inserted into the cavity through the top end of the cavity and positioned around 0.1-3 times the maximum diameter of the cavity from the top of the cavity. Specifically, an overflow pipe with the diameter gradually increasing from the bottom to the top was used as the gas outlet. The overflow pipe is further furnished with a bell mouth at the bottom part.
