TL;DR: In this paper, the lock pin entry of this laser fiber connector is the funnel pattern, and lockpin entry terminal surface sets up bell mouth and inside axle center passageway intercommunication promptly, the part that the axle center Passageway is close to the bell mouth satisfies the tight fit with the laser fiber who treats the installation location.
Abstract: The utility model provides a corresponding lock pin of laser fiber and cooperation mounting structure and fiber connector thereof can greatly alleviate the heat accumulation, improves the validity of fiber optic coupling. The lock pin entry of this laser fiber connector is the funnel pattern, and lock pin entry terminal surface sets up bell mouth and inside axle center passageway intercommunication promptly, the part that the axle center passageway is close to the bell mouth satisfies the tight fit with the laser fiber who treats the installation location. The interior side surface of bell mouth had better satisfy the diffuse reflection condition. Like this, side surface in the bell mouth is beaten to the laser speckle, makes the energy be the index through the reflex action and descends (had better produce complete diffuse reflection, avoid light to assemble), greatly lighten the heat accumulation. When especially installing high power laser optic fibre, the terminal surface is close to the big terminal surface parallel and level of the big terminal surface inclusive AND bell mouth of bell mouth before the optic fibre, has avoided hot accumulation to the ablation of fiber end face, improves the validity of fiber optic coupling.

TL;DR: In this paper, the upper and lower parts of the suction side end members of a bell mouth installed to the front side of a main member with a top plate and a bottom plate so that they may surround over the outer periphery of a motor-driven fan, and expanding gradually the side member to the SUction side.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve air suction efficiency, by connecting the upper part and the lower part of the suction side end members of a bell mouth installed to the front side of a main member with a top plate and a bottom plate so that they may surround over the outer periphery of a motor-driven fan, and expanding gradually the side member to the suction side. CONSTITUTION:A bell mouth 12 is circular or oval in cross sectional view. The bell mouth is gradually reduced into a smaller-size as it approaches a fan 8 from a front face 19 of main body 1, thereby forming a first section A. Then is formed a second section B which gradually expands, then surrounds over the outer periphery of the fan 8 in succession with the first section A. The side end member of a discharge nozzle 6 of the section A is connected with the periphery of the discharge nozzle 6, while the upper and lower parts of the suction side end member of the section B are connected with a top plate and a bottom plate and the side members are connected with a neighboring part of a suction nozzle 5 of a heat exchanger 7 and a soundproof plate 10. This construction makes it possible to improve ventilation efficiency (air suction efficiency) of a motor-driven fan 8.

TL;DR: In this article, an initial shape setting step was performed to set the initial shape of the bell mouth and then a shape modification step was carried out to make the shape rotatable.
Abstract: Provided is a bell mouth design method whereby a bell mouth shape suitable for a ship type can be designed easily without depending on specific craftsmen. The bell mouth design method of the present invention has an initial shape setting step (Step 1) for setting the initial shape of the bell mouth 4; a three-dimensional model creation step (Step 2) for creating the three-dimensional model of the bell mouth 4 and other parts on a computer; a preliminary shape modification step (Step 3) for modifying the outer peripheral shape of the three-dimensional model of the bell mouth 4 so as to be rotatable when the anchor 3 contacts the initial shape of the bell mouth 4; a mechanical analysis step (Step 4) for performing a mechanical analysis of the condition of the anchor 3 being housed using the three-dimensional model of the bell mouth 4 and other parts on a computer; a determination step (Step 5) for checking whether the results of the mechanical analysis satisfy predetermined conditions; and a shape modification step (Step 6) for modifying three-dimensional model of the bell mouth 4 on the computer on the basis of results of the mechanical analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, a commercial CFD code was used to predict accurately the vortex generation for the specified intake design, and the preliminary result of submerged vortex prediction for the Turbo-machinery Society of Japan Sump Test CFD standard model.
Abstract: In large pump station, vortex generation such as free-surface vortex and submerged vortex occurring around pump intake, or at bell-mouth inlet has been an important flow characteristics which should be considered always to keep away the suction of air-entrained or cavitated flow. In this study, a commercial CFD code was used to predict accurately the vortex generation for the specified intake design. These result shows the preliminary result of submerged vortex prediction for the Turbo-machinery Society of Japan Sump Test CFD standard model. At bottom wall, air volume fraction (red color) was found in a large scale to explain the submerged vortex generation at particular operation and configuration condition. And these indicate the free surface formation behind the bell mouth. Particularly, non-uniform approaching flow is a major parameter to govern the occurrence of the free-surface vortex. Futhermore the comparison between turbulence ( & model) mode were executed in this study.
