Abstract: In order to suppress that a velocity in the vicinity of a bell mouth is lowered to induce non-uniformity in velocity at an outlet of a blade and an outlet of the bell mouth caused by adoption of a forward-swept blade which makes a tip vortex small as means for noise reduction, in a blade of a propeller fan, a trailing edge portion which has been rotationally projected on a plane passing through a rotational axis is formed from the rotational axis toward a blade tip portion so as to bend from the suction side to the discharge side with a first curvature, and is further formed so as to bend with a second curvature which is smaller than the aforementioned first curvature with an inflection point interposed.

Including the damping tube, set up porose fender in the damping tube, the through -hole that the hole kept off is the bell mouth, the left hole diameter of bell mouth is less than the hole diameter on bell mouth right side, the right side that the hole kept off is provided with the baffle, on the plate washer threaded connection have with the pin of damping tube with the axle center, the left end of pin is the conical end that corresponds with the bell mouth, be provided with on the pin on conical end right side and keep off the ring, it is provided with two stoppers of calling according to the axial direction wire pair of pin to keep off the ring onthe terminal surface that the hole kept off, distance between two stoppers is greater than the internal diameter that the hole kept off, closing cap and damping tube right -hand member sealing connection, be provided with the manometer with the damping tube intercommunication on the damping tube between hole fender and the baffle. The utility model discloses, the damping is effectual, and it is easy to process moreover, install, and simple structure is with low costs.

Abstract: Using experimental models along with conducting numerical analysis have been widely used in performance recognition and optimization of hydraulic equipments. Numerical modeling has lower cost rather than experimental one; however practical tests are commonly used because of the hydraulic structure importance especially in dams. Meanwhile numerical methods could be used for future designs through validating numerical models. In this paper, volume of fluid method, VOF, has been employed to simulate the free surface flow at the dam bottom outlet form bell mouth section up to the downstream channel. Since the flow through the gates has high Reynolds number, the standard k-e and also Reynolds Stress Model, RSM, turbulence models is used and the results compared. The discharge coefficient and the ventilated air velocity through the vents is computed numerically and compared with the experimental data. Comparison between the experimental data and numerical simulation results shows good compatibility, especially in RSM turbulence model rather than k-e turbulence model. The results show that the maximum error percentage in simulation of the discharge coefficient and the ventilated air velocity is 9% and 3% respectively.
