TL;DR: In this article, a substrate that is a portion of an electrode of a plasma reactor has two positions, a low position and a process position, achieved without generating particulate contaminate and are achieved additionally while the reaction chamber is maintained at its process pressure.
Abstract: A substrate that is a portion of an electrode of a plasma reactor has two positions, a low position and a process position. They are achieved without generating particulate contaminate and are achieved additionally while the reaction chamber is maintained at its process pressure. Stainless steel bellows assemblies have an inter volume that are capped at both ends from a chamber between the bellows. One end of the bellows assembly is mounted to the process chamber in a fixed position and a substrate to the other end is attached and is movable. A positioning is achieved by introducing compressed air in the chamber between the bellows and overcoming the process pressure in the outer chamber. A second position is achieved by releasing the compressed air between the chamber between the bellows and allowing the process pressure in the process chamber to collapse the bellows assembly.

TL;DR: In this paper, an articulated component (22,22') is located on the air-spring cover in the area near the air spring bellows connection, which allows pivotal displacements when under pressure and forms a radial second air spring loop.
Abstract: The suspension (1) has a pot-shaped air-spring cover, an air-spring piston (30, an axial (7) or transverse (7') elastomer air-spring bellows, a vibration damper and a chassis connection (19). An articulated component (22,22') is located on the air-spring cover in the area (A) near the air-spring bellows connection. The articulated component allows pivotal displacements when under pressure and forms a radial second air-spring loop.

TL;DR: A firefighter's turnout apparel comprises a coat and a pair of pants, wherein the elbow joint and the knee joint sections are formed to include bellows at the bend of the joints for increased protection, flexion range, and comfort as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A firefighter's turnout apparel comprises a coat and a pair of pants, wherein the elbow joint and the knee joint sections are formed to include bellows at the bend of the joints for increased protection, flexion range, and comfort. The bellows interconnect material above and below the joint sections to reduce tightness at the outside of the joint areas and material bunching at the inside of the joint areas, permitting freer flexibility and reduced compression of thermal material. Added material in the bellows which extends around the outer joint area, produces a slight bend in the material at these points results in the tunrout apparel having a more natural and comfortable shape through the joint regions, improving the thermal protection due to the reduced compression. In addition to improved thermal protection, the bellows reduce movement of the cuffs of the apparel to provide better protection of wrist and ankle areas.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an extreme sensitivity to varying levels of pressure on the closed end of a Bellows that has an open end MOUNTed on a Stationary WALL.
Abstract: AN EXTREMELY SENSITIVE DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE TO CURRENT TRANSUCER EMPLOYING: (1) A UNITARY RIGID DISC AND A THIN PRESSURE SENSING MEMBRANE FOR THE CLOSED END PORTION OF A BELLOWS THAT HAS AN OPEN END MOUNTED ON A STATIONARY WALL? (2) AN OVERLOAD VALVE TO PROTECT THE MEMBRANE AGAINST RUPTURE BY THE SEPARATE FLUID PRESSURES ACTING ON THE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL SURFACE OF THE BELLOWS? AND WHEREIN (3) THE OVERLOAD VALVE IS MOUNTED FOR MOVEMENT WITH THE DISC AND INTO SEALED ENGAGEMENT WITH ONE OR THE OTHER OF OPPOSITE SIDES WALL SURFACES OF THE STATIONARY WALL.

TL;DR: An inverted bellows valve has a two-piece stem interconnecting the valve and actuator for reciprocating axial movement of the stem tip as discussed by the authors. Tapered surfaces are advantageously utilized between cooperating elements for selfcentering the valve assembly.
Abstract: An inverted bellows valve has a two-piece stem interconnecting the valve and actuator for reciprocating axial movement of the stem tip. Tapered surfaces are advantageously utilized between cooperating elements for self-centering the valve assembly. An annular gland disposed along the exterior of the valve stem has concentric inner and outer O-rings which permit the stem to float and compensate for misalignment. A wobble collar is also disposed in abutting engagement with the stem to compensate for uneven spring forces which could otherwise cock the stem. The bellows subassembly is removable in one piece to facilitate maintenance and replacement.
