TL;DR: In this article, a bubble-propelled amusement device is described in which play pieces are dispersed in a water bath contained in an enclosed transparent tank having on its bottom wall an air nozzle and having in the air space above the bath an air intake, the pieces normally tending to sink toward the nozzle.
Abstract: A bubble-propelled amusement device in which play pieces are dispersed in a water bath contained in an enclosed transparent tank having on its bottom wall an air nozzle and having in the air space above the bath an air intake, the pieces normally tending to sink toward the nozzle. Below the tank is a pump assembly comprising an air chamber coupled to a player-operated bellows, the chamber being provided with an air outlet and an air inlet, each having a check valve therein. The air outlet is coupled to the nozzle so that when the bellows is actuated by the player and compressed, the resultant positive air pressure in the chamber causes the outlet valve to open to feed air into the nozzle which injects into the water bath a stream of air bubbles that act to propel play pieces toward a target, the bubbles then being discharged into the air space. When the bellows is released by the player and permitted to expand, the resultant negative air pressure in the chamber causes the inlet valve to open to draw air from the air space into the chamber. Thus the pump assembly forms with the tank a closed air loop and is isolated from the water therein.

TL;DR: In this paper, a tuned mass damper (10) includes a container (14) having inner wall portions, and a proof mass (50) disposed within the container, where a spring (26) is connected in series with each pair of oppositely directed cup-shaped members (22) and bellows (24).
Abstract: A tuned mass damper (10) includes a container (14) having inner wall portions, and a proof mass (50) disposed within the container (14). Multiple pairs of oppositely directed cup-shaped members (22) and bellows (24) connected between the inner wall portions and the proof mass (50) define together with the proof mass (50) fluid chambers containing a dampling fluid and permit motion of the proof mass (50) along the primary axes. A spring (26) is connected in series with each pair of cup-shaped members (22) and bellows (24). The spring (26) has an outside diameter less than an inside diameter of the cup-shaped members (22).

TL;DR: In this article, a pressure-responsive bellows is utilized at each wheel to open or close the existing tire valve in accordance with air pressure values applied to the bellows exterior surface, and a selector valve at the driver's station permits the human driver to remotely control the tire inflation or deflation process.
Abstract: An automatic tire inflation/deflation system for a vehicle with pneumatic tires. The system may be incorporated into existing vehicles without modification of the axles, wheels or tires. A pressure-responsive bellows is utilized at each wheel to open or close the existing tire valve in accordance with air pressure values applied to the bellows exterior surface. A selector valve at the driver's station permits the human driver to remotely control the tire inflation or deflation process. During normal run operations, the air passage system is depressurized.

TL;DR: In this paper, a chemical supply system simplified in construction and excellent in reliability can be provided, where a flexible tube is connected to a large elastically deformable bellows in the axial direction and an incompressible medium is enclosed in a pump chamber.
Abstract: Connected to a flexible tube 13 which is expandable or shrinkable in the radial direction, are a flowpath 17 on the side of supply, which is provided therein with an on-off valve 21 on the side of supply, and a flowpath 19 on the side of discharge, which is provided therein with an on-off valve 22 on the side of discharge. A bellows 14 elastically deformable in the axial direction is disposed at the outside of the flexible tube 13 . This bellows 14 has a small bellows portion 24 and a large bellows portion 25 . An incompressible medium 43 is enclosed in a pump chamber 42 formed between the flexible tube 13 and the bellows 14 . An operating disk portion disposed between the small bellows portion 24 and the large bellows portion 25 is displaced in the axial direction, whereby the inner volume of the bellows 14 is changed, so that the flexible tube 13 is expanded or shrunk in the radial direction to carry out the pumping operation. With this arrangement, a chemical supply system simplified in construction and excellent in reliability can be provided.
