TL;DR: In this article, the authors report on the design and fabrication of a third harmonic radiofrequency (RF) system for the Advanced Light Source (ALS) to be used for lengthening the bunch and increasing the Touschek-dominated beam lifetime.
Abstract: We report on the design and fabrication of a third harmonic radiofrequency (RF) system for the Advanced Light Source (ALS) to be used for lengthening the bunch and increasing the Touschek-dominated beam lifetime. We plan to install five single-cell 1.5 GHz copper RF cavities in one-half of an ALS straight section with a predicted increase in the lifetime by a factor of 3. Each RF cell is designed to sustain a maximum voltage of 125 kV with a power dissipation of 5 kW. We present measurements made on an aluminum cavity model characterizing the RF properties of cavity such as the cavity R / Q and higher-order modes (HOMs). In particular, resonances in the cavity tuners were studied in order to avoid heating of the tuner bellows. Initial measurements of the copper cavities indicate a Q value of 21 000, resulting in a shunt impedance of 1.69 MΩ per cell.

TL;DR: In this article, a multistage over fire air distributing mode is proposed to achieve NOx low emission based on NOx effect of between 250 and 650mg/m3 controlled by integral air classification technology in the current combustion bituminous coal and meager coal furnace.
Abstract: The invention provides a multistage over fire air distributing mode. The mode comprises a primary air pulverized coal nozzle, a secondary air nozzle, main burners, low separating over fire air bellows and high separating over fire air bellows, wherein a group of the main burners is arranged at each corner of a hearth; the separating over fire air is divided into low separating over fire air and high separating over fire air; the low separating over fire air bellows are arranged at four corners of the hearth or on four walls; and the high separating over fire air bellows are arranged at the four corners of the hearth or on the four walls. The distributing mode can realize NOx low emission based on NOx effect of between 250 and 650mg/m3 controlled by integral air classification technology in the current combustion bituminous coal and meager coal furnace (oxygen concentration in smoke is 6 percent.) so as to reduce the generation amount of NOx by about 15 percent. The equipment solves the problems of high combustibles in fly ash caused by the integral air classification technology in the furnace, large difference between speed and temperature of smoke at the outlet of the hearth and the like, and improves the operation regulating performance on different coal varieties and load changes.

TL;DR: In this article, the active suspension system has gas springs between the vehicle superstructure and the wheel-carrying elements, each gas spring has a compressible gas chamber connected by a pipe to a control chamber whose volume is adjustable using a control piston.
Abstract: The active suspension system has gas springs between the vehicle superstructure and the wheel-carrying elements. Each gas spring has a compressible gas chamber connected by a pipe to a control chamber whose volume is adjustable using a control piston. The piston bears on a bellows arrangement on the end of the chamber, the rolling surface of the piston having a concave shape in cross-section and being circularly symmetric. The piston is designed so that the force used to increase or decrease the pressure in the chamber through corresponding volume increase or reduction is always constant. The piston can be displaced mechanically and/or pneumatically and/or hydraulically and/or electrically, esp. electronically. ADVANTAGE - Compact and effective design which can be adapted in many ways.

TL;DR: In this article, a coaxial connector is provided which can be used in cable systems which transmit telephone and internet service in addition to traditional cable television service, in which the coaxial connectors are used for both traditional cable and internet services.
Abstract: A coaxial connector is provided which can be used in cable systems which transmit telephone and internet service in addition to traditional cable television service. The coaxial connector comprises a housing which can consist of one or several components having a central bore therethrough and a one or multiple piece insulator arranged in the central bore in the housing. The coaxial connector also includes a female center contact member which is arranged in the hollow interior of the insulator. The female contact member comprises an outer surface which defines an open mating end which is adapted to receive the center conductor pin of a mating male connector and includes a pair of double bellows spring portions which extend inwardly from the outer surface. A pair of raised bumps are arranged on the contact surface of each double bellows spring portion in order to focus the contact force provided by the double bellows spring portions.

TL;DR: In this paper, a heat exchanger core made up of a loose stack of heat exchange sheets is surrounded by a support frame which holds the sheets against separation, and a simple expansion bellows may be used to join either or both of the high-pressure air outlet and low-pressure hot exhaust gas inlet of the Heat Exchanger to the engine body.
Abstract: A heat exchanger core made up of a loose stack of heat exchange sheets is surrounded by a support frame which holds the sheets against separation. One end of the support frame is mounted on the engine body and restrained against vertical, fore-and-aft and sidewise movement relative to the engine body. The other end of the support frame is mounted on the engine body by a double pivot link assembly which restrains that end against vertical and sidewise movement but allows fore-and-aft movement. A simple expansion bellows joins the high-pressure air inlet of the heat exchanger to the engine body. A simple expansion bellows may be used to join either or both of the high-pressure air outlet and low-pressure hot exhaust gas inlet of the heat exchanger to the engine body.
