TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe an apparatus for covering the track joint between the rotary plate and the bellows of the connection between two hinge-linked vehicle sections (3 a, 3 b), comprising two side walls (2 a, 2 b) that are joined together through a bellows roof.
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus ( 12 ) for covering the track joint between the rotary plate ( 7 ) and the bellows of the connection ( 1 ) between two hinge-linked vehicle sections ( 3 a, 3 b ), said bellows comprising two side walls ( 2 a ) that are joined together through a bellows roof ( 2 c ) at least, said track joint cover ( 12 ) having, like the bellows of said connection ( 1 ), singular corrugations or pleats ( 13 ), neighboring corrugations or pleats ( 13 ) being joined together by clamping ledges ( 16 ) in the region of their one apex at least, and the clamping ledges ( 16 ) being fastened at their one end at least to the side wall ( 2 a ) of the bellows ( 2 ) so as to be vertically movable.

TL;DR: In this paper, a pneumatic spring and an oscillation damper are integrated in the spring strut in such a way that it does not form any essential surface change in an unrolling piston associated with the U-type bellows.
Abstract: Spring strut with a pneumatic spring and an oscillation damper which can be adjusted as a function of the support pressure. The pneumatic spring has a spring space bounded by a U-type bellows, which spring space is pneumatically connected to a damping device which can be adjusted as a function of a support pressure. A component which having a duct connects the spring space and the damping device is embodied without a hose and is integrated in the spring strut in such a way that it does not form any essential surface change in an unrolling piston associated with the U-type bellows and the unrolling piston forms at least a part of this duct.

TL;DR: An air assisted device for positioning or moving a limb or a joint uses compressed air as a motive force as discussed by the authors, where the bag is placed between a limb to be positioned and a relatively fixed body part or other surface.
Abstract: An air assisted device for positioning or moving a limb or a joint uses compressed air as a motive force. In a first embodiment, the air assisted device is a one piece air bag with bellows or accordion-like construction to allow controlled variable degrees of abduction. The bag is placed between a limb to be positioned and a relatively fixed body part or other surface. As compressed air enters the bag, the bag expands and moves the limb away from the body part or other surface. If the bag is maintained in an expanded condition, it immobilizes the limb relative to the body part or other surface. As the bag deflates, the limb returns to its original position. In a second embodiment, the device utilizes a pneumatic piston and cylinder unit to provide the motive force for positioning two relatively movable parts. As compressed air is forced into the cylinder, the piston moves outwardly, moving one of the relatively movable parts away from the other part. Relative movement of the parts moves the limb toward or away from the body part or other surface. The air assisted device may also be used to resist motion of a limb.

TL;DR: In this article, a hydraulic mount assembly is disclosed having a partition forming two hydraulic chambers and including a damping decoupler, and an expandable, pneumatic bellows is mounted within the primary chamber.
Abstract: A hydraulic mount assembly is disclosed having a partition forming two hydraulic chambers and including a damping decoupler. A primary chamber is formed by an elastomeric member and a secondary chamber by a resilient diaphragm. During dynamic loading of the mount, fluid passes through an orifice between the two chambers of the mount causing expansion and contraction of the diaphragm. An expandable, pneumatic bellows is mounted within the primary chamber. A vent tube provides controlled fluid communication between the bellows and the atmosphere to provide a relatively soft mount for engine isolation. Air entry into the bellows is induced by the built-in spring memory of the bellows causing expansion. Air may be removed or partially removed from the bellows by an external vacuum source, causing a negative pressure and contraction. By controlling bellows expansion and contraction in this manner, the dynamic rate of the mount assembly may be selectively reduced at higher vibration frequencies; that is, those over 20 Hz. An assist spring may be provided in the bellows. Further, by evacuating the bellows, a relatively hard mount with standard operating parameters may be provided; i.e. a mount having relatively high damping and high rate for better control under extreme driving conditions. A control circuit with on-board transducers is provided to monitor vehicle operating and road conditions and modulate the pressure by controlling venting of the bellows and the vacuum in the bellows for maximum operating efficiency.
