TL;DR: In this paper, an epidural space locating device (10) was proposed for locating the epidural spaces by coupling a needle to a luer assembly, where the loss of pressure within the bellows chamber (20) is sensed by the one or more digits of the hand as the shape of the chamber collapses.
Abstract: An epidural space locating device (10) for locating an epidural space, the device (10) comprising a body section (30) having a first end (32) and a second end (32) and a longitudinal passageway extending therethrough, the first end of which is coupleable to a luer assembly; and a collapsible bellows chamber (20) having one end coupled to the second end (34) of the body section and the other end exposed so as to permit pressure to be exerted thereon by one or more digits of a hand, wherein positive pressure within the bellows chamber (20) maintains the integrity of the shape of the bellows chamber (20) and wherein negative or zero pressure within the bellows chamber (20) facilitates the collapsing of the shape of the bellows chamber (20) thus indicating the locating of the epidural space by a needle (51) that is coupled to the luer assembly; wherein the loss of pressure within the bellows chamber (20) is sensed by the one or more digits of the hand as the shape of the bellows chamber (20) collapses.

TL;DR: In this article, a hydraulic pressure transmitter is connected by a flexible tube to a hydraulic actuator, with a flexible bellows, whose interior defines a first chamber, has a cylinder, and has a piston reciprocable in the cylinder.
Abstract: A hydraulic pressure transmitter is connected by a flexible tube to a hydraulic actuator. The transmitter has a flexible bellows, with a closed outer end, whose interior defines a first chamber, has a cylinder, and has a piston reciprocable in the cylinder and defining therewith a second chamber, communicating with the bellows, and a third chamber communicating with the tube. The closed outer end of the bellows has a pressure plate thereon which is engaged by an operating button which can be depressed to collapse the bellows. A piston rod is secured to the closed bellows end and extends through a perforated rigid diaphragm into the second chamber, the inner end of the piston being shaped to sealingly engage in an aperture in an end wall of the piston. The piston is biased toward the piston rod by a spring, and has a small clearance with the cylinder walls for flow of hydraulic fluid therepast between the second and third chamber parts.

TL;DR: In this article, a check valve with a mushroom-shaped shutter is fitted to a container with variable volume, constituted by two hollow cylinders able coaxially to slide one inside the other, the neck passing through the outer cylinder.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a container reducible in size during use, with dispenser spout fitted with check valve. It comprises a bellows bottle, presenting, at one of its ends, a closed bottom and, at the opposite end, a neck destined to receive a dispenser spout fitted with a check valve with mushroom-shaped shutter. The bellows bottle is positioned inside a container with variable volume, constituted by two hollow cylinders able coaxially to slide one inside the other, the neck passing through the outer cylinder.

TL;DR: In this paper, a heat pipe comprising a flexible sealed envelope and an internal wick structure comprising two sets of cross-members in transverse relation to each other, the crossmembers being transverse to the flexible axis of the envelope, is described.
Abstract: A heat pipe comprising a flexible sealed envelope and an internal wick structure comprising two sets of cross-members in transverse relation to each other, the cross-members being transverse to the flexible axis of the envelope. The wick structure may be a cylindrical mesh screen consisting of orthogonal metal wires disposed within a cylindrical metal bellows such that each of the cross wires is at an angle with respect to the flexible axis of the bellows.

TL;DR: In this article, an underwater electrical connector having an oil filled chamber in one connector member behind the insulator in which the contacts are mounted is presented. And an adjustable piston is also mounted in the wall of the housing for establishing a predetermined pressure on the oil in the chamber, whereby the bellows is preloaded.
Abstract: An underwater electrical connector having an oil filled chamber in one connector member behind the insulator therein in which the contacts are mounted. A pressure compensating bellows is mounted in the wall of the housing of the connector member. An adjustable piston is also mounted in the wall of the housing for establishing a predetermined pressure on the oil in the chamber, whereby the bellows is preloaded thereby enhancing the pressure compensating characteristics of the bellows.
