TL;DR: In this paper, the pneumatic spring piston encompasses the damper unit as a separate component part, and its outer surface has cylindrically or conically extending face sections, and forms a roll-off contour.
Abstract: The pneumatic spring piston encompasses the damper unit as a separate component part, and its outer surface has cylindrically or conically extending face sections, and forms a roll-off contour (5), which is not rotationally symmetrical in relation to the damper axis (Y) and conforms to the effective diameter (D) of the inclined loop of the pneumatic spring bellows (3). The effective diameter runs parallel to the rounded edges (5.1-5.4) of the roll-off contour. The external guide (6) of the bellows loop is completely and continuously surrounded with a reciprocating spring. A thin-walled protective folding bellows (10), which is made of elastomer or thermoplastic elastomer, surrounds the external guide and also the spring piston and is connected at the top to the external guide or a piston cylinder connected to the chassis and at the bottom to the piston or to the container pipe of the damper. A rigid sealing piston seat is arranged between the piston and the container pipe and forms a fixed connection.

TL;DR: In this paper, a metal bellows volumometer operating to 250 MPa is described which uses a linear differential transformer in a novel, indirect way to establish the position of the moveable end of the bellows with a precision of about 1 in 60000.
Abstract: A metal bellows volumometer operating to 250 MPa is described which uses a linear differential transformer in a novel, indirect way to establish the position of the moveable end of the bellows with a precision of about 1 in 60000. Calibration with both water and n-heptane has shown that the effective cross-sectional area of the bellows depends on both pressure and the extent of movement of the bellows. Comparison of excess volumes for acetonitrile-water mixtures calculated from the bellows volumometer data with values determined directly by other authors indicates that the device provides densities accurate to +or-0.02%.

TL;DR: In this article, a procedure for determining dynamic characteristics of bellows by manipulating certain parameters of the beam finite elements of I-DEAS Master Series 6 is presented, which can work in any software in which these parameters can be set by the user compared to a shell elements model.

TL;DR: In this article, a pressure sensor is presented which is capable of monitoring pressure levels with precision, regardless of the ambient temperature to which the system is subjected, by employing temperature insensitive material to effectively compensate for temperature changes incurred by the remaining sensor components.
Abstract: By providing pressure-responsive switch-actuation means constructed for being substantially unaffected by temperature changes, a pressure sensor is attained which is capable of monitoring pressure levels with precision, regardless of the ambient temperature to which the system is subjected. By employing temperature insensitive material to effectively compensate for temperature changes incurred by the remaining sensor components, the actuation control assembly of the sensor is capable of achieving precision monitoring of desired pressure levels regardless of changes in the ambient temperature to which the monitor assembly is exposed. In one preferred embodiment, the pressure sensor of the present invention incorporates a uniquely constructed, machined bellows which further enhances and provides precision pressure sensing capabilities.

TL;DR: In this article, a surface controlled, subsurface tubing safety valve has been described, which is adapted to be opened by a flow tube which is vertically reciprocable within the body between upper and lower positions.
Abstract: There is disclosed a surface controlled, subsurface tubing safety valve having a tubular body with a bore therethrough disposable in a tubing string, and a flapper which is movable within-the body between open and closed positions and yieldably urged toward its closed position. The flapper is adapted to be opened by a flow tube which is vertically reciprocable within the body between upper and lower positions. The flow tube is yieldably urged to its upper position to permit the flapper to close, and is lowered to open the flapper by a flexible bellows which has a well pressure on one side and a pressure chamber on one side containing hydraulic fluid which is displaced to cause the bellows to move between expanded and contracted positions in response to the exhaust or supply of control fluid from a source at the surface, the bellows being connected to the flow tube to lower it as the bellows is moved to one position and to permit it to rise as the bellows moves to the other position.
