TL;DR: In this article, a pressure relief valve is used to release air from a tire wheel assembly when the air pressure in the tire exceeds a predetermined level of pressure, where the valve seat and valve element are biased against the valve element by a compression.
Abstract: A pressure relief tire valve for inflating a tire wheel assembly has a tire inflation valve body having a chamber therein with openings through the top and bottom ends thereof and having a relief opening formed in the tire valve body. An inflation valve having a spring loaded central core to allow to pass inward is located in the tire valve body adjacent the tire inflation valve body top end for inflating the tire therethrough. An overpressure valve is located in the tire valve body for releasing air from the tire when the air pressure in the tire exceeds a predetermined level. The overpressure valve has a valve seat and valve element biased against the valve element by a compression for maintaining the valve element in a closed position until the predetermined air pressure is reached in the tire and to allow the valve element to open to release air through the valve body relief opening when the air pressure in the tire and to allow the valve element to open to release air through the valve body relief opening when the air pressure in the tire exceeds the predetermined pressure. A heat variable bellows supports the compression spring and is responsive to changes in temperature of the air in the tire so that the overpressure valve can prevent overinflating the tire as well as loss of tire pressure upon an increase of air pressure in the tire from an increase in temperature of the air in the tire.

TL;DR: In this paper, a sensor chip for detecting pressure is housed in the sensor chamber that is filled up with liquid, and when load is applied to the sensor head, the bellows contracts axially to vary pressure of the liquid.
Abstract: In a load detecting device, a hermetically sealed sensor chamber is constituted by a sensor head, a bellows, a housing and a stem. A sensor chip for detecting pressure is housed in the sensor chamber that is filled up with liquid. When load is applied to the sensor head, the bellows contracts axially to vary pressure of the liquid. The sensor chip senses the pressure of the liquid so that the load applied to the sensor chamber is detected with higher detecting accuracy.

TL;DR: In this paper, an assembly for measuring the condition of fruit and vegetables is disclosed which comprises an expandable resilient bellows arrangement (10) having a passive sensor (22) mounted therein.
Abstract: An assembly for measuring the condition of fruit and vegetable is disclosed which comprises an expandable resilient bellows arrangement (10) having a passive sensor (22) mounted therein. In use, the bellows (10) can be expanded so as to bring the passive sensor (22) into contact with, or adjacent to, an item of fruit or vegatable whereby the sensor can react to a property of the fruit or vegetable and produces a signal related to that property. The bellows (10) can then be contracted away from the fruit or vegetable. The sensor (22) can detect the properties of, for example, surface gas detection, chlorophyll fluorescence, visible and Near Infra Red spectrometry and charge transfer. An arrangement is also disclosed in which a plurality of bellows (10) are mounted on a rotatable mounting (510) whereby by rotation of the mounting (510), the bellows (10) can be brought sequentially into a position in contact with, or adjacent to, a respective fruit or vegetable.

TL;DR: An all-aluminum-alloy vacuum system for the TRISTAN ring (30 GeV) is now under construction as discussed by the authors, where the beam chambers of the dipole and quadrupole magnets, all metal gate valves, ceramic chambers, and seamless bellows are directly joined by a fully automatic welding machine.
Abstract: An all‐aluminum‐alloy vacuum system for the TRISTAN ring (30 GeV) is now under construction. Ordinary stainless steel components and stainless steel–aluminum transitions have been eliminated as much as possible from the TRISTAN design. Suitable aluminum‐alloy vacuum chambers, elliptical bellows, fittings, flange/gasket/bolt, nut and washer combinations, feedthroughs, gauges, optical windows, sputter ion pumps, turbomolecular pumps, all‐metal valves, and related aluminum‐alloy vacuum components have been developed. The beam chambers of the dipole and quadrupole magnets, all‐metal gate valves, ceramic chambers, and the seamless bellows are directly joined by a fully automatic welding machine, i.e., without using flanges. For demountable joints, a new Conflat‐type seal, which consists of Cr2N‐coated superalloy flanges, is used. The outgassing rate after baking 24 h at 150 °C is several times 10−14 Torr 1/s cm2 for specially extruded beam ducts. The sputter ion pump, which is made of aluminum alloy, has an ex...

TL;DR: In this article, a displacement sensor is included for determining the displacement of the outer ring about the opening of an injection molding machine, which is directly proportional to the pressure of the material.
Abstract: A pressure transducer for an injection molding machine includes a housing coupled to a nozzle of an injection molding machine. A hollow stress tube, attached to the housing, through which molten material of the injection molding machine flows, bellows in response to pressure from the material. An outer ring having an opening is coupled to the stress tube such that the outer ring expands, causing displacement of the outer ring about the opening, when the stress tube bellows. A displacement sensor is included for determining the displacement of the outer ring about the opening. This displacement is directly proportional to the pressure of the material. In this manner, the pressure transducer determines the pressure of the molten material.
