Abstract: A load absorbing elastic member or members is incorporated in the design of a rotor blade to assist in reducing flapwise and chordwise bending moments, torsional loading, and to reduce or eliminate the control system loads induced by rotor blade moment stall. In all its embodiments, the load absorbing elastic member has operatively associated therewith a constraining member which serves as a strain amplifier permitting the load absorbing elastic member to achieve its purpose effectively.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of sheet pile wall construction type for varying soil conditions and wall heights were investigated using finite element modeling and analysis, and the results indicated that walls constructed by backfill method yield significantly higher bending moments and wall deformations.

TL;DR: In this article, a set of material parameters in a constitutive model of cyclic elasto-plasticity are identified for the two layers of the sheet simultaneously by minimizing the difference between the experimental results and the corresponding results of numerical simulation.
