Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interpolation unit that applies interpolation to color image data in order to supplement a color component and a luminance component missing in respective pixels and a computer-readable recording medium with recorded an interpolation program to allow a computer to realize the interpolation, by which production of a false color can be suppressed. SOLUTION: The interpolation unit, which applies to decide an interpolation equivalent to color information of a 1st color component to pixels whose 1st color component is missing in image data represented by a color representation system including 1st-n-th (n>=2) color components and each pixel of which has color information of one kind of color component, is provided with an interpolation calculation means that uses color information in existence in pixels located at a local area to which interpolation object pixels being interpolation objects belong so as to calculate an interpolation at least consisting of local average information of the 1st color component relating to the interpolation object pixels and of inflection information of two kinds of color components or more with respect to the interpolation object pixels.

Abstract: There is an improvement to the Bicubic interpolation enlargement algorithm based on the hardware parallel processing in this article. Search table method used in this paper has avoided massive cubic and the floating numbers multiply operation. It reduces the computation load greatly. Convolution operation in tow directions, level and vertical, of the 4x4 picture element matrix on FPGA has been realized by LPM. The Bicubic interpolation enlargement algorithm is completely based on the hardware parallel characteristic to realize. This method has the superiority in the computation speed and occupies on the resources.

Abstract: A novel interval quartering algorithm (IQA) is proposed to overcome insufficiency of the conventional singular spectrum analysis (SSA) iterative interpolation for selecting parameters including the number of the principal components and the embedding dimension. Based on the improved SSA iterative interpolation, interpolated test and comparative analysis are carried out to the outgoing longwave radiation daily data. The results show that IQA can find globally optimal parameters to the error curve with local oscillation, and has advantage of fast computing speed. The improved interpolation method is effective in the interpolation of missing data.
