TL;DR: In this paper, the existence of a miscibility gap inside the homogeneity domain of the η phase (Zr5Sn3-Zr4Sn4) has been confirmed.
Abstract: The Zr–Sn binary system has been reinvestigated by several experimental techniques: X-ray diffraction, electron probe micro-analysis, mass density and calorimetry measurements. The existence of a miscibility gap inside the homogeneity domain of the η phase (Zr5Sn3–Zr5Sn4) has been confirmed. It has been also shown that Zr substitution on the Sn sublattice is responsible for the non-stoichiometry of the A 15 phase (Zr4Sn). The temperature of the peritectoid reaction βZr+A15↔αZr has been determined to be at 1216 K that is 4 0 ∘ below the temperature reported in the literature. All these new experimental data have been taken into account for a new thermodynamic assessment of this system.

TL;DR: In this article, a least square method of optimizing thermodynamic functions has been taken to prepare a data set of the system Al Si, and two types of data sets are presented and compared with a former computation of this system.
Abstract: A least squares method of optimizing thermodynamic functions has been taken to prepare a data set of the system Al Si. Two types of data sets are presented and compared with a former computation of this system. The calculated phase diagram, as well as the enthalpy and the partial Gibbs free energy of the melt, agree well with the experimental data.

TL;DR: In this article, the excess molar volumes ( ) and viscosity deviations (Δη) were calculated for the binary mixtures of γ-butyrolactone with methyl formate, ethyl formate and methyl acetate.
Abstract: Densities and viscosities for the binary mixtures of γ-butyrolactone with methyl formate, ethyl formate, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, and acetonitrile have been determined over the whole mole fraction range of the mixtures at 298.15 K. From these measurements, the excess molar volumes ( ) and viscosity deviations (Δη) were calculated. These results were fitted to Redlich−Kister type polynomials. It is shown that the values of and Δη are both negative over the entire composition range for each binary system investigated. Results have been discussed briefly on the basis of molecular interactions in these mixtures.

TL;DR: In this article, the phase diagram for the binary system indium-tellurium has been clarified and corrected, particularly in the region near the composition of InsTes, which is a potentially important semiconductor, either alone or in combination with other materials such as CusTe.
