TL;DR: Results suggest that primary producers at the base of food webs drive metal bioaccumulation by invertebrate grazers.

••
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the unsubstituted polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons in animal lipids and found that the levels of these acids were directly related to corresponding concentrations in sediment, and that coarse-grained sediments low in organic carbon content (< 0.5%) provided animal-sediment bioaccumulation factors that were much larger than fine grained ones.

••
TL;DR: Arsenic contamination is a global environmental problem due to arsenic’s high toxicity, bioaccumulation in human body and food chain, and severe carcinogenicity to humans as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Arsenic contamination is a global environmental problem due to arsenic’s high toxicity, bioaccumulation in human body and food chain, and severe carcinogenicity to humans. Development of cost-effec...

TL;DR: Critical information is provided on the bioaccumulation, tissue distribution, and metabolization of OPEs in relation with OPE structures in fish, as well as the underlying bio Accumulation mechanisms/pathways of O PEs in aquatic life.

TL;DR: It is indicated that ionoregulatory disruption in freshwater mussels chronically exposed to copper is the main mechanism of toxicity and that redox parameters do not appear to be useful as indicators of sub-lethal copper toxicity in these animals.
