Abstract: A system for demodulating piecewise coherent, combined frequency and phase-shift-keyed signals that are modulateed by orthogonal or biorthogonal code words. Rather than maintain local reference signals in phase-lock with the received signal, the system mixes the received signal with both sine and cosine signals at both the mark and the space frequencies to obtain multiple outputs which are correlated with each of the code words utilized by the system to determine the particular code words that have been received.

Also let be the space of functions holomorphic in that obey The article gives a completely internal characterization of systems of the form that are not total in and of the biorthogonal systems constructed for such nontotal systems. The closed linear hulls of the systems and are also characterized. Criteria for these systems to be bases in their closed linear hulls in the metric of are obtained. A complete and effective solution of the multiple interpolation problem in the classes is given. In addition it is proved that functions with given interpolation data can be represented both as an interpolation series in the system and as a series in the system .Bibliography: 20 titles.
