Abstract: The development of Audio driver is very important in embed audio system, which decides the performance of audio system directly. WM8731 audio driver is implemented on uclinux embedded operating system by using ASOC driver model in this paper. And in the design, combining the characteristics of Blackfin561 and uclinux sufficiently. To achieve the demand of real time characteristic by using the techniques of interrupt, DMA and Circle buffer storage, the performance of system is enhanced. Audio driver procedure in this paper is proved steady and reliable after many tests.

Abstract: VOIP(Voice over Internet Protocol)Technology is now sweeping across the world, and the biggest superiority of VOIP is the extensive use of Internet and the global IP interconnection for transfer of voice, fax, video, and data services .IPPBX (Private Branch Exchange Over IP), based on open system theory, architecture, protocol and signaling of the softswitch technology, could achieve PBX-based voice services and data communication. This article describes principles and structures of IPPBX hardware design based on Blackfin Asterisk IP-PBX open-source project resources of uclinux open source community, discusses the transplant of software modules. Test shows that the processing of 30 calls could be achieved simulataneously.

Abstract: To calculate the module for the DFT spectrum calculation,and avoid low processing speed of the approximate calculation,mass storage for the look-up table,a new modular algorithm combined with the approximate calculation and the look-up table is designed.Calculate the optimal storage of the table by analyzing the error.,and program the modular assemble language for the fraction operation on the BLACKFIN DSP.Experiments have indicated that this method improved the speed of the modular algorithm about 2.03 times as much as the approximate calculation,and the precision was improved 1 bit with little storage.

Abstract: In today’s world, human beings want to stay connected with each other and their surroundings. Global Positioning System (GPS) is one of the technologies which is used to determine the exact position of various objects. It is more widely used for military purposes. Various equipments like GPS are increasingly driven by embedded processors, also entering the picture are embedded design needs that include securing intellectual property, lowering power dissipation, minimizing cost, and cutting development time. Blackfin is one such type of processors. In this paper we implement GPS system using BF527. The Software implementation is done using VDK++.
