TL;DR: This work focuses on an advanced middleware that allows cost effective management of a multi-interfaces terminals fleet through an easy to configure set of preferences and resources profiles taking into account preferences given by the terminal's owner and applications.
Abstract: Mobile wireless technologies have seen an immense growth in the recent years. Different kink of wireless public access have become increasingly available in areas like airports, stations and shopping centers as well as at office or at home. Mobile terminal such as phone or laptop are often equipped with several network interfaces and may use several access networks such as UMTS, WiMAX, WiFi and BlueTooth; each of them can be attached to different Internet providers having different billing models and security levels. To allow mobile users to be always connected to the best available access network and maintain theirs connections when they switch from one network to another, several vertical handoff mechanisms have been recently proposed. Few of them deal properly with the cost in the decision process, which should be done at a per flow basis. Our current work focuses on an advanced middleware that allows, through a comprehensive profile management, the support of automatic interfaces configuration and per-flow interface selection taking into account preferences given by the terminal's owner and applications. As illustrative, we show how the proposed middleware allows cost effective management of a multi-interfaces terminals fleet through an easy to configure set of preferences and resources profiles.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a download and update method that is able to automatically select a wireless network connection and automatically determine functions via the data categories wherein, by using WLAN to connect to remote servers or Bluetooth, it achieves the automatically selected connection that is commonly used in short-range communication.
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of wireless data download for mobile communication It is a download and update method that is able to automatically select a wireless network connection and automatically determine functions via the data categories Wherein, by using WLAN to connect to remote servers or Bluetooth, it achieves the automatically selected connection that is commonly used in short-range communication The method comprises the following procedures: firstly, it activates an operation system that then drives plural wireless modules Further, it executes a communication program for detecting wireless networks available for connection Furthermore, it selects one of the wireless networks to obtain a connection; moreover, it automatically or manually select a system file, map file or other files as the files to be downloaded Subsequently, it determines the download results and the file format Eventually, it updates the operation system program or stores the file as downloaded into a memory unit

TL;DR: In this article, a voice controlled Bluetooth earphone, and an automobile positioning and intelligent voice service platform and realization method, for solving the problem that there are safety hidden risks for drivers and pedestrians during a driving process because the drivers are easily distracted by a conventional service platform.
Abstract: The invention brings forward a voice controlled Bluetooth earphone, and an automobile positioning and intelligent voice service platform and realization method, for solving the problem that there are safety hidden risks for drivers and pedestrians during a driving process because the drivers are easily distracted by a conventional service platform. The voice controlled Bluetooth earphone comprises an earphone main body. The earphone main body is provided with a volume adjusting device, a battery power supply device, a receiver, a microphone and a control module disposed inside the earphone main body. The volume adjusting device, the battery power supply device, the receiver and the microphone are respectively connected with the control module; the battery power supply device is provided with a power supply switch; the earphone main body is also provided with an intelligent regulation and control switch device; the control module is provided with a Bluetooth module, a voice processing module, and a CPU which is respectively connected with the Bluetooth module and the voice processing module; the volume adjusting device and the microphone are connected with the voice processing module; and the intelligent regulation and control switch device is connected with the CPU.

TL;DR: A self-organising protocol for Bluetooth topology construction in which scatternet structures are maintained even in the presence of dynamic perturbation of network configuration, which uses a bottom-up approach.
Abstract: We propose a self-organising protocol for Bluetooth topology construction in which scatternet structures are maintained even in the presence of dynamic perturbation of network configuration. The protocol does not require the presence of a central topology construction or re-construction process. Instead, the nodes can self-organise to create a stable configuration both after start-up as well as after intermediate changes due to the arrival of new nodes or shutting down of existing nodes. The proposed algorithm uses a bottom-up approach, which is built into the regular operations of the Bluetooth devices. Isolated nodes as well as masters and slaves of existing piconets can discover other nodes, thus extending the scatternet. Copyright © 2005 AEIT.

TL;DR: This project helps to calculate the distance between two moving vehicles with help of ultrasonic sensors and the exact distance between the vehicle and the object is shown in LCD because of which parking the car is even safer.
Abstract: Many levels of security are built into Bluetooth technology which we can utilize to provide different levels of security to our car. The Bluetooth transmitter is identified by using the hardware address which is unique for each transmitter. Another level of security can be added by using the pass key security. In effect the user can control the car doors and ignition by enabling Bluetooth using the password and the key. This project also helps us to calculate the distance between two moving vehicles with help of ultrasonic sensors which will be indicated on the dashboard with help of a LCD display. When certain distance between the two vehicles is reached it does the braking accordingly and also senses during parking the vehicle. When the car is moving back the exact distance between the vehicle and the object is shown in LCD because of which parking the car is even safer.
