TL;DR: The three quark system is studied in a relativized version of the quark potential model with chromodynamics and the spectrum of baryons is described with parameters consistent with those of an analogous study of meson spectroscopy.
Abstract: We have studied the three quark system in a relativized version of the quark potential model with chromodynamics. With parameters consistent with those of an analogous study of meson spectroscopy we obtain a successful description of the spectrum of baryons. The model naturally explains the apparent absence of spin‐orbit interactions in baryons.

TL;DR: In this article, a gauge-invariant decomposition of the nucleon spin into quark helicity, quark orbital, and gluon contributions is proposed, and the total quark contribution is measured through virtual Compton scattering in a special kinematic region where single quark scattering dominates.
Abstract: I introduce a gauge-invariant decomposition of the nucleon spin into quark helicity, quark orbital, and gluon contributions. The total quark (and hence the quark orbital) contribution is shown to be measurable through virtual Compton scattering in a special kinematic region where single quark scattering dominates. This deeply virtual Compton scattering has much potential to unravel the quark and gluon structure of the nucleon.

TL;DR: Experimental data indicate that CP is nowhere maximally nonconserved and the question of maximal CP nonconservation is discussed.
Abstract: The structure of the quark mass matrices in the standard electroweak model is investigated. The commutator of the quark mass matrices is found to provide a convention-independent measure of $\mathrm{CP}$ nonconservation. The question of maximal $\mathrm{CP}$ nonconservation is discussed. The present experimental data indicate that nowhere is $\mathrm{CP}$ nonconservation maximal.

TL;DR: The D0 collaboration reports on a search for the Standard Model top quark in p{bar p} collisions at {radical}s = 1.8 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron, with an integrated luminosity of approximately 50 pb{sup {minus}1}.
Abstract: The D0 collaboration reports on a search for the Standard Model top quark in p{bar p} collisions at {radical}s = 1.8 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron, with an integrated luminosity of approximately 50 pb{sup {minus}1}. We have searched for t{bar t} production in the dilepton and single lepton decay channels, with and without tagging of b quark jets. We observe 17 events with an expected background of 3.8 {plus_minus} 0.6 events. The probability for an upward fluctuation of the background to produce the observed signal is 2 {times} 10{sup {minus}6} (equivalent to 4.6 standard deviations). The kinematic properties of the excess events are consistent with top quark decay. We conclude that we have observed the top quark and measure its mass to be 199{sub {minus}21}{sup +19} (stat.) {plus_minus}22 (syst.) GeV/c{sup 2} and its production cross section to be 6.4 {plus_minus} 2.2 pb.
