TL;DR: It is concluded that RV- soya is an effective alternative to the standard RV medium for the isolation of salmonellae from poultry and would recommend a protocol of pre-enrichment in buffered peptone water, enrichment in RV-soya for 24 h at 43°C and plating on brilliant green agar containing sulphamandelate supplement.

TL;DR: In this article, the spectrophotometric method of determining antimony with brilliant green has been re-examined in an investigation of a suspected variability of samples of Brilliant green.
Abstract: The spectrophotometric method of determining antimony with Brilliant green has been re-examined in an investigation of a suspected variability of samples of Brilliant green. The reaction conditions and times have been shown to be critical and a modified procedure, which gives a higher sensitivity and precision compared with previous procedures, has been developed. It is considered doubtful whether an entirely satisfactory method of determining antimony with Brilliant green can be developed.

TL;DR: In this article, the response of liquid-state ion-selective electrodes based on Crystal Violet PAR, Crystal Violet Solochrome Violet RS and Brilliant green 12-tungstosilicate to anions has been studied: in general their response is slightly less than Nernstian.
Abstract: The response of liquid-state ion-selective electrodes based on Crystal Violet PAR, Crystal Violet Solochrome Violet RS and Brilliant green 12-tungstosilicate to Brilliant green, PAR, Solochrome Violet RS, Orange IV and certain possible interfering anions has been studied: in general their response is slightly less than Nernstian. The selectivity to anions is in the order Orange IV > Solochrome > Violet RS > perchlorate > PAR > thiocyanate > nitrate. The possibilities of using these dyes as indicator electrodes in the determination of acid and basic dyes has been illustrated by means of potentiometric titrations of several acid dyes with a standard solution of Crystal Violet. The slow dimerisation and de-dimerisation of Brilliant green has been followed by means of the Brilliant green 12-tungstosilicate electrode.

TL;DR: In this article, ZnO hexagonal disks were successfully synthesized using mechanochemical reaction followed by heating treatment, which indicated a pure and uniform morphology of hexagonal-based disks with the average thickness of 52nm and high aspect ratio of 96.
