This fourth edition also includes information covering more recent areas of systems development and data processing (including SSADM, prototyping and information engineering). Changes to this edition include a new case study, based on a real company; new material on data protection; new information on fourth generation languages and expert systems; and a new chapter structure, with chapter five from previous editions (computer output) now updated and incorporated into a new chapter three (data capture and computer input/output devices).
