TL;DR: In this article, a transport device for welding wire feed for welding equipment, in particular arc sheild-gas welding tools on manipulators, is described, where the main drive determines the feed and it is mounted near the application welding die, while the auxiliary is arranged spaced there behind.
Abstract: The invention relates to a transport device for welding wire feed for welding equipment, in particular arc sheild-gas welding tools on manipulators. The welding wire is transported from a magazine or reel with the aid of two separate drives. The main drive determines the feed and it is mounted near the application welding die, while the auxiliary is arranged spaced therebehind. The motor of the main drive is controlled to a constant speed corresponding to the selected feed, while the auxiliary drive acts on the welding wire with slip. The motor of the auxiliary drive is also controlled to a constant speed, the speed adjustment of the drives being, however, control-technologically connected for maintenance of a certain difference of the transport speeds.

TL;DR: In this article, a pressure transducer, in particular a pressure transmitter, is provided with a modular built-in adaptor which can be suited to different installation conditions and comprises a sensor part (2).
Abstract: A pressure transducer, in particular a pressure transmitter, is provided with a modular built-in adaptor which can be suited to different installation conditions and comprises a sensor part (2). Sealing between sensor part (2) and basic body (1) of the built-in adaptor relative to the pressure medium is effected by means of a butt weld (24, 25), for which purpose the sensor part (2) and/or the basic body (1) is provided with an annular welding prominence which, upon assembly, is brought into contact with a flat annular end face on the other relevant part. The welding prominences are preferably located on both end faces of the consequently universally usable sensor part (2), which has allocated to it a flat shoulder surface at a point of the basic body (1) facing or remote from the medium. A resistance weld is made on one of the pairs of welding prominence and allocated shoulder surface. The seal created by the weld satisfies the most stringent requirements for operational reliability, as are imposed, for example, in nuclear technology, in chemical works, in brake systems on road and rail vehicles and the like.

28 Jul 1989TL;DR: In this article, an automatic welding of plastic parts possessing a built-in winding is described, which is used particularly for the production of systems for the distribution of gas under pressure by means of plastic pipelines.
Abstract: The invention relates to the automatic welding of plastic parts possessing a built-in winding. In order to carry out an automatic welding operation without risking damaging the parts by subjecting them to an excessive welding temperature, there are regulating means for varying the electrical energy supplied to the winding, in order, during the welding phase, to maintain the temperature of the winding between a minimum temperature, below which welding cannot be carried out, and a maximum temperature, beyond which the parts will be damaged. The invention is used particularly for the production of systems for the distribution of gas under pressure by means of plastic pipelines.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of weld process conditions on the strengths of hot-tool butt joints are investigated for a grade of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene that was specially developed for window-frame applications.
Abstract: Thermoplastic window frames are made by hot-tool welding mitered, extruded profiles. The effects of weld process conditions on the strengths of hot-tool butt joints are investigated for a grade of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene that was specially developed for window-frame applications. Vibration-weld strength data, obtained on a research machine in which all the process variables can be independently controlled, are used to benchmark strengths of hot-tool welds made on a commercial welding machine. Process differences between hot-tool butt welding and the hot-tool welding of mitered, extruded profiles are discussed.
